Dear Seniors and Families,

With graduation less than a month away, we thought it would be a good time to let students and families know some important information regarding graduation and the events leading up to it. Please review the following information carefully.

Class of 2024 Graduation Information

Contract

Over the next few weeks, the CVHS Administration will come into each senior’s Government or Economics class to review the school’s expectation for graduation. Students will need to submit their acknowledgement through a form, linked on the expectations sheet. In addition, parents have also received this notification and must sign off through Parent Square, this should be completed no later than Monday May 8th. 

Tickets

All graduates will receive four tickets for graduation, automatically. These tickets will be distributed to students at the end of rehearsal on the morning of graduation (Friday, May 31st). 

If you require more than three, please complete this form thoroughly and be sure to submit it when you are done. Students may request up to three (3) additional tickets. We understand that all students have different circumstances but we are unable to offer more than 3 extra tickets.  Children over two years of age will need a ticket to enter. Please work with your family to ensure an accurate count in the number of tickets you are requesting. Errors could result in failure to receive extra tickets.

Only Students may request additional Graduation Tickets. Graduating Seniors have been sent an email to their school accounts with a link to a form to submit a request for extra tickets.

Students must request extra tickets by 3:00 PM on Friday May 10.

Disabled Parking and Access/Seating

If a member of your party requires disabled parking or seating, please note the following.There is disabled parking in the main student parking lot, nearest the CFA and swimming pool area.

There is disabled seating available at the field level. We are able to accommodate the disabled guest and one companion. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate full parties in our disabled seating.

Only students may request disabled parking. Students may use this form to request disabled parking.

Graduation Speeches

Graduation speeches are a longstanding tradition at CVHS.  All of our seniors have the opportunity to submit a speech for consideration. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impression on your classmates.

We are currently seeking graduation speeches that are:

Relevant to the entire senior class
Uplifting in message and tone
Appropriate for the audience (parents/guardians, grandparents, children, school and district staff, esteemed community members)
3 minutes in length (can be slightly less, but no longer than 3 min.)
Submission instructions:

Please email a Word or Google doc with your full speech and a video of you speaking your speech to [email protected].  Please title your Word or Google doc with your name (last name, first name). Please ensure that there is little to no background noise in your video, and speak clearly and slowly enough that we can hear your words. All speeches and videos will be reviewed by the Graduation Committee. Winner(s) will be notified as soon as possible. There will likely be one to two Seniors selected.

Speech submissions are due Friday, May 3 by Noon. No exceptions. Please contact me if you need assistance or have any questions.
