This BBC2 drama series featured the Honourable Greville Carnforth (Michael Elwyn), an aristocratic solicitor based in a small village community in the Lake District.
There were no dramatic, emotion-charged courtroom scenes or amateur sleuthing to support or disprove police evidence here. The Carnforth Practice concerned itself with the more secular legal boundaries facing a practice operating to serve the needs of a local community.
Carnforth’s cases were relatively straightforward affairs that impacted the local community and outskirts, and the six-part series was relatively undemanding fare.
