Queen Elizabeth feels sad these days as her cousin Lady Elizabeth Shakerley has passed away at the age of 79. 

Lady Shakerley, also known as Lady Elizabeth Anson, was the monarch’s first cousin and a close friend of the Queen. The Queen often involved her in many private engagements.

The Queen had honored her by making her a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order on 31 March this year. 

The late Elizabeth founded her party planning businesses, Party Planners in 1960. She has arranged many events for high-profile people and royals, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, organizing a reception foreign royals and others. 

In addition to this, she has also planned Queen’s 80th birthday party, Margaret Thatcher’s 70th birthday party, and Sting’s wedding to Trudie Styler.

As per the details, she was born in Windsor Castle in 1941, the daughter of Thomas Anson, Viscount Anson, and his wife, the Queen’s niece, Anne Bowes-Lyon.

Lady Elizabeth tied the knot with Sir Geoffrey Shakerley at Westminster Abbey on 27 July 1972. The Queen was present as one of her bridesmaids.

The couple divorced in 2009 and had one child: a daughter, Fiona Elizabeth Fenella Shakerley, who was born in 1973. She then married to Edward Brocas Burrows in 2004 and the couple share two children: Noah, 14, and Ruby, 11.
