Duke Castiglione

Lead Sports Anchor

Duke Castiglione is the lead Sports Anchor at WCVB Channel 5, Boston's News Leader. He anchors the weeknight sportscasts, as well as the weekly Sunday night SportsCenter 5 OT (11:30PM).

Duke joined WCVB in January 2018 as weekend evening anchor and general assignment reporter from WNYW Fox 5 in New York, where was a sports anchor as well as host of the Sunday night program “Sports Extra.” He has covered multiple Super Bowls, World Series, and hosted numerous television and radio sports programs and special events. Prior to WNYW, Duke was a sports reporter with Boston’s WHDH. He was a sideline reporter for ESPN on their Major League Baseball and College Football games. Before that, Duke was the morning sports anchor and reporter for New York's WCBS-TV. Duke was also the host of NY1's live call-in program “Sports on 1.” He is a recipient of an Associated Press Award for “Best Sports Show.” He began his news career in the New England region -- first at Cape 11 News in Hyannis, MA and later at WGGB News in Springfield, MA.

Duke graduated from Marshfield High School and Stonehill College. He and his wife Kiki have a three-year-old daughter who is “the center of our universe,” says Duke. And he credits his successful broadcasting career to the “greatest teacher and mentor” a broadcaster could have, his father and long-time voice of the Boston Red Sox, Joe Castiglione.
