Rented an ebike from Yes Cycle. Had a great day touring Stanley park and going out to UBC. Vancouver has fantastic cycling network and lotsof separate bike from carlanes
Excellent place for a trail run. Track in Stanley Park is compact gravel and soft wooded trail mix. No mud or bugs and not crowded. There are various routes you can add in as I did and I also included the Sea Wall Walkway which didn’t record as I had to turn my phone off so would be in the 18 km range or 26km if doing the out and back Sea Wall Walkway which is all concrete or tarseal. Tracks in Stanley park and the sea wall walkway are wide enough and even enough to accommodate wheelchairs or mobility scooters. The trails within Stanley Park are beautiful under mature large trees, easy running and scenic. The sea wall walkway is also amazing taking in the views of the bridge and across the bays. I saw a seal close to the sea wall rolling about eating something large. Lots of birdlife to see too. Highly recommend.
Beautiful trail but would avoid beaver lake entirely if I could. Undergoing a lot of construction blocking off one side. However the other side is flooded in 6-7 areas. I would’ve worn my hiking boots like I always do but I thought it would be a low risk stroll through stanley park. Don’t make my mistake lol.
