Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- NickRotherham, UK25 contributionsI can't believe this is free entry. They didn't even ask for donations. Quite rough terrain and uphill/steps but really worth it. Some parts were closed as they are being repaired and reimagined.Written 15 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Side TAlmeria, Spain52 contributionsExtraordinary scenery, which varies as much as the conservation does ,as parts seem to be strictly preserved and others nor at all.
There is a grotesque example of corruption in the illegal Algarronico hotel in the north ,on the beach where part of Laurence of Arabia was filmed. Some of the locations of For a few dollars more have likewise been spoiled, but, all in all well worth a visit..Written 29 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. So next time I know I’m going to be in the area I will phone and book in advance. The reason I gave it five stars is because it was my fault not that of the site.Written 13 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eric BLondon, UK1,087 contributionsWe stayed an hour North, in Agua Amarga, and often came South to Mónsul. It's got no facilities, the car park can get jammed even in October, it's down a dirt road, but once you are on the beach it is wonderful. It's so interesting in terms of rocks, headlands and dunes, was never crowded (in October) and the sea is delightful for swimming. You walk in over gradually shelving sand and we never got stung by the few little jelly fish we saw (a worldwide problem now, take vinegar to the beach!) On the beach we never had anyone within 5m.Written 19 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Barbs GStockport, UK240 contributionsIf like my husband you struggle on hills then this place is ideal, a beautiful clean long promonade. Not all built up like some of the Costa de Sol, restaurants dotted here and there and some shope, even an open air church It is very clean and the beach is kept immaculate. Visited mainly by the Spanish, it is rrally a good location for a break.Written 6 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SaluTexas City, TX288 contributionsA very unusual style cathedral and just beautiful. Located in the center town of Almeria historic center. The town center is pleasant to walk.Written 8 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- StarviageraFlorida2,059 contributionsThe information office at the entrance to the park was closed on a Monday. We found an information booth here that was helpful. Unfortunately someone did not pickup after their dog and the smell and flies were overwhelming. Ruined our visit! Otherwise this is the best view of the parkWritten 19 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- jrls1943100 contributionsJust a very pleasant area to relax and enjoy. Good variety of restaurants and bars. Things tend to run down at the end of September/October.Written 23 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MarcusHurleyCalne, UK10,280 contributionsThe Castle was a small artillery fort with a round tower on each corner, heavily restored after a lightning strike ignited the gunpowder store which destroyed one tower and then a few years later an earthquake badly damaged what was left.
It is now used as an arts and exhibition centre. Inside was a model boat exhibition, ranging from 15th century galleys, HMS Victory, Colombus' 3 ships, a Viking longship and then more modern fishing vessels and steamers.
There was a photography exhibition and also a large display of Goya's prints of French war crimes in the Peninsula War. Free to enter and a nice way to spend an hour.Written 1 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rdomarkas5 contributionsOne of the best beaches I’ve ever been to in the entire world. Make sure you come prepared food wise as there are no facilities. Very beautiful, crystal clear waters.Written 8 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JOANA HSan Vicente de la Barquera, Spain38 contributionsThis place is wonderful, not only as landscape view, also as a snorkeling place. Bring your snorkel equipment and have a nice time there. At the end of the day, it is a shady place and it makes difficult to observe things underwater, so go earlier ;)Written 25 August 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
