It is not every day that you are shown around a 14th century farmhouse by a Russian Princess, and this was the best tour of our visit to Kent. Olga Romanov was most welcoming, funny, frank and gave us two hours of insight into her life and the lives of her parents and grandparents who escaped the revolution. The history is fascinating, as is how she is preserving the farmhouse for the future. Tours need to be booked and are only on some days. Well worth the visit.

We visited Provender House last Sunday - Having always been fascinated by the history of the Romanov family, it was an immense honour to be shown around by Princess Olga herself.
The house obviously means a lot to her, and whilst giving you very interesting historical facts about the property and family, she also manages to make the tour fun and very Olga-like!
Amazing property - the gardens are beautiful too.
Definitely would recommend the tour. It lasts around one hour.

Tour was done by Princess Olga, who is a fascinating individual and knows a lot of history. We had seen her on TV before, and when we heard about this tour to her house, we knew we must do it. We were not disappointed and it was very interesting.

We visited Provender House while on a touring holiday with HHA Just Go holidays. We were shown round by the owner, Princess Olga Romanov who is a fascinating character. The house is of great historic interest, dating back to medieval times and with alterations and additions throughout the centuries. Our host really made the tour entertaining and informative. There were lots of pictures of her family to look at. Everyone agreed that this was the highlight of our holiday. I found it so interesting I bought a copy of the Princess's autobiography " Princess Olga A Wild and Barefoot Romanov" I would love to go round this house again.

We took our group here and what an interesting and fun afternoon we all had. Princess Olga and her colleague Jo gave us wonderful tours of the house - full of wit, family anecdotes and lots of history. We had tea and homemade cakes afterwards and a walk round the garden. There are comments on here that mention the dogs and the rather dusty house - I noticed there were Christmas decorations and half burned crackers in the dining room - however, it is their home - I wanted to give it a good clean I must say. Nevertheless we had a lovely afternoon and were made most welcome and I bought Princess Olga's book.

Had a very interesting tour of this very historic old house. So interesting .Our tour guide was the Lady of the house ,who had a very dry wit and because she has lived there since childhood a great knowledge and love of the place. This is not your normal house tour ,far more personnal.Definately worth the £12 which goes towards the upkeep. The gardens are lovely ,alot overgrown as obviously costs a huge amount to keep such a large garden tip top...but the walled garden and those nearest the house were stunning as were the trees.Brilliant hour spent 😊

We had a WI visit here last year and I have to say the Lady who did the tour was somewhat abrupt at times but she did her best with telling us all about the history of her family and the house. The house itself is a mess to be blunt. We understand its a Lived in family home but things where extremely dirty, paintings where dusty things were broken and the general atmosphere was stagnant. Not to mention the smell of dogs!! No refreshments. Very sad place.

I visited this beautiful building today and was amazed. It is a lovely place to get married, if you are a romantic then this is for you. If you want small and intimate then you can use the house, alternatively if you need a bigger space there is a walled garden big enough to erect a marque. They have space also available for the Bride to get ready there and also stay on her wedding night.
