1948 Plymouth Coupe -- Glenn Dodd, Mike Stein, and Charles Lovelady

This year marks 20 years of One Lap for Glen Dodd. The veteran had his first race in 1988 at the wheel of a 1933 Buick he built himself. This year, he and friend Mike Stein and Charles Lovelady champion a 1948 Plymouth Coupe with serious Corvette underpinnings. The engine is a supercharged LS1 mated to a six-speed manual, the brakes are from a C5 Corvette, and the suspension is ZR-1 material.

Dodd has built every one of his entries over the last 20 years, from a 1948 Jaguar to a 1994 S-10 Blazer. He has also gleaned a few stories, "I have turned one over three times, hit a wall at Road America doing about 100 mph, and have had about 25 speeding tickets!" says Dodd.

A message to One Lap competitors: "Look out and get out the way!"
