The overall college readiness part of La Quinta High School is very preparatory. This school offers the IB Diploma Program, which does wonders for offering a rigorous and enriching academic experience. However, certain teachers at this school are not very understanding of students. These teachers impose unrealistic academic expectations and expect their students to master a topic immediately. I would like to see change in the overall academic attitude of those teaching these IB courses.
La Quinta High School has been a memorable experience. I think the best parts of the school is being involved in sports and clubs to build connections. School culture and safety does need improvement, there's a lot of kids that just don't care there and there's constant drug use.
My experience at La quinta high school is very good. All of the teachers i have had are very kind along with very helpful and kind counselors. The school counselors have helped me in my journey to becoming college ready and helping me meet the college requirements in a way easy to understand. The clubs and sports are good and help you meet and make fun memories.
