Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I really enjoy this walk and the view of Lake Ontario and wildlife. always a breeze off lake and can be chilly at times.

This was such a great evening. Went with friends, and we were not sure what to expect. It was an informative and entertaining evening. Our tour guide Riley was really well spoken. The stories about the buildings and the alleged inhabitants were really interesting. We all really enjoyed our evening. Thanks!

The pool was gated. You can only enter with the requirements based on age and if an adult needed to be there, which I liked, so my young children could not enter without a supervising adult.

The splash pad area was very large and spread out. Lots of space.

I like that they had stations around that you could wash your feet or flip flops before entering the water areas.

    Lots of shaded areas.

The only downside, change rooms and bathrooms are disgusting, considering you have to pay to enter the park and then pay another fee to get into the pool area. The pool area was renovated but they desperately need to renovate the washrooms, showers and change rooms.

Fantastic experience. I was also very impressed with their COVID procedures, thorough while not making it feel like you in an biolab. The gentleman that showed us the process was patient and fun. He regularly checked to see if we needed anything but also gave us the space to enjoy. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

Manresa, like all other similar establishments, was closed for several months and no retreats were given. Nevertheless, it was offering ZOOM retreats, available on Manresa’s YouTube channel. Fortunately, since my last review (November, 2019), I have attended 3 Ignatian weekend retreats in Manresa, all of them during COVID. The last one, in early November, 2021, was my 30th!

Manresa had implemented a lot of safety measures & procedures to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission: attendance was limited to a maximum of 40 people, masks were mandatory at all times when inside buildings, physical distance was maintained, everyone had a room with a sink/toilet, each retreatant was assigned his ‘private’ seat in the Chapel & the dining room, tables in the dining room were spaced 2 meters apart and Plexiglas dividers were at each table, meals were served by the kitchen staff and of course, as of September, 2021, proof of vaccination was required. Thus, I felt extremely SAFE attending all the retreats—and hardly noticed the miniscule inconveniences, to which most of us had already gotten used anyway. Otherwise, the retreat followed the same schedule as before COVID.

The November weather was perfect—sunny and not one drop of rain. The Way of the Cross was held outdoors and retreatants could also walk the Rosary Lane and the Labyrinth, located on the grounds of Manresa.

The silent retreat, “Seeking Spiritual Healing the Ignatian Way”, was facilitated by Fr. Henk van Meijel, S.J., Director of Manresa, and consisted of several input sessions designed to assist each retreatant to come to a higher understanding of their own vocation (God’s calling) in the context of their personal contemporary life journey. As always, it was a wonderful experience.

After forty+ hours I left this tranquil place spiritually relaxed, refreshed and recharged.

The Seaton trail has many different entrance points. We started at the trailhead at Whites & Taunton and we went South.
There is a small parking lot and parking is free. From there you have a short walk, and you have a choice of going North or South on the trail.
There is lots of good elevation and some great views. About 10 minutes into the hike I was stopped in my tracks and had to look up, waaay up at the massive stairs!! Holy Stairs, is all I can say . LOL Thankfully on each landing they had a bench for resting. It really felt like they went on forever, but we managed.
This is an in and out trail, not a loop.
***If you have dogs the stairs are metal and have little spikes, you will have to carry them or do the North Trail and avoid them instead

I went to Bible Faith Church in Durham and was very impressed with the church service. This is an historic site built in the 1920's and has been modernized to serve the community. The beautiful stained glass and classic look from the outside makes this church a must see for someone into architecture.

Now when it comes to a church service, must admit this is a great place to call your home church. The people are the most friendly, warm and demonstrate the love of God you'd expect from a church. The Pastor's are amazing teachers and very knowledgeable.

Played to-day after a 25 year absence. Don't know why I waited so long. Interesting course with a variety of hole layouts. We even saw a deer on the course (almost got hit by my partners shot) No two holes were similar. Great greens and friendly staff. Good seniors rates although shared cart rental cost for seniors should be lower as most seniors need carts. Will place this course back on my go to clubs.

The day on the course was well run and it was in great condition. The highlight of the day was the dinner service. I have played in many tournaments at a lot of courses with several meals and this was one of the best. The quality was excellent and there was plenty for everyone (and then some). The quality of service was on par 😉 with the food. Great day all around.
