Early Life
Casemiro was born on February 23, 1992, in São José dos Campos, a city located in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Growing up, Casemiro developed a passion for football at a young age and began playing for local youth teams in his hometown. He was initially a striker, but he later switched to a defensive midfield position, which would become his signature position on the field.

Club Career
Casemiro began his professional club career at São Paulo FC, where he played for four seasons from 2010 to 2013. He made a total of 112 appearances for the club and scored 11 goals during his time there.
In January 2013, Casemiro was loaned to Real Madrid for the remainder of the 2012-13 season. He made his debut for the club in April 2013, in a match against Real Betis, and went on to make a total of six appearances for the club that season.
After his loan spell, Casemiro returned to São Paulo for the 2013-14 season. However, he was again loaned to Real Madrid for the 2014-15 season, and this time the loan was made permanent at the end of the season.
He became an integral part of Real Madrid’s team for the next eight seasons forming a formidable partnership with Toni Kroos and Luka Modric in midfield. He made over 300 appearances and won multiple trophies including five UEFA Champions Leagues, three La Liga titles, and three FIFA Club World Cups.
On August 19, 2022, he joined Manchester United on a four-year contract for a fee of £60 million, plus £10 million in add-ons. On February 26, 2023, he won his first trophy with the club after Manchester United beat Newcastle 2-0 in the final to win the EFL Cup.
International Career
Casemiro made his debut for the Brazilian national team on September 5, 2011, in a friendly match against Argentina. He was just 19 years old at the time and played the full 90 minutes of the match.
He was part of the Brazilian squad that won the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2013, and he was also part of the team that reached the quarterfinals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He tasted further success with Brazil during the 2019 Copa America, where in the final group stage game against Peru, he scored his first international goal to open a 5–0 victory. He also started in the final against Peru again as Brazil won 3-1.
He also featured in the 2021 Copa America and 2022 FIFA World Cup, however, Brazil failed to win either of the tournament after losing in the final and quarter-finals respectively. To date, he has made 69 appearances for Brazil, scoring six goals.
