Great experience, LOVE BEING A MUSTANG!!! I will be going into my senior year for the 2024-2025 school year and Murrah has prepared me the most for college. Although counselors are a little late on things, they always respond promptly. I have met the most amazing people including students, teachers, and administration.
Although I have made a lot of friends at Murrah High School, there are a lot of issues with the school, most regarding the relationship between students and teachers. I feel there is a lack of understanding and empathy from both sides -- no one really listens to what the other side has to say on certain matters. I'm sure some of the teachers truly care about their students, but all in all the lack of understanding those students is ever-present. It has also become increasingly obvious that many teachers at Murrah obviously do not like teaching, and do not like being around kids. Despite these issues, I think that the unity students at Murrah have in regards to school games or competition with other schools is entertaining and admirable, and again, I believe I've met some of the most interesting and funny people here. But I would not want to send my child here or recommend it to anyone with children going to high school.
The best part about my school is the amount of connections you can make with people it’s like one big community. However on the other hand I would like to see more clubs involving art and maybe a book club.
