Over united and delta, you spirit have treated me the best, delta has had un friendly flight attendants, and lost my luggage, and united has delayed me at the airport over 11 hours! To be honest, I don’t know why people be hating on Spirit Airlines. I just came back from a trip with them and they were the most proactive employees I had seen. We missed our flight from MIA to CHI and the lady at the desk in MIA named Britney resolved our situation immediately and got us on a later flight. Satisfied that there we didn’t need to pay any fees or penalties. When we got to Chicago, our luggage wasn’t there, but they reassured us we will receive the following day. And they did. They were proactive in lettin me know every step of the way about our luggage. When we got out luggage it was all in tact and not tampered with (I’ve heard stories from other airlines). I was happy to know that they genuinely empathized with our situation and were proactive in following up. In all my years traveling with spirit, I’ve not had a bad experience. My flight down to Punta Cana was fine. The flight back was late to take off causing us to land a bit behind. We had to wait for 2 other flights to get into customs in Ft. Lauderdale before they would let us off the plane putting us at the end of the line in Customs. We made it through just in the nick of time. We found a spirit agent who took our bags, radioed our gate and was told they would wait for us. Otherwise, we would not have given them our bags. We ran to the gate, where the jetway was still at the plane. The spirit agents were nowhere to be found. We asked several other agents at different gates and were told no one could help us. We watched them take our bags up into the plane and then watched the jetway get pulled away. There were 11 people in our party. Some were put on other planes. We all rode to the airport in 2 cars so we had to figure out how to get back to Dayton from Columbus. Our luggage was locked up in Columbus and we had to go to 3 different places to find someone to help us. When the members of our group on the later flight got to the airport, they couldn’t get their luggage at all, so they had to drive back to Dayton without it and are still figuring out how to get it. There were many other people in the same boat as us, as well.…
