Search the cheapest flights on cleverlayover
Hack travel. Book differently. Save money.
Our layover trick will find you the cheapest flights on one third of all routes
"Now comes a new crop of powerful flight-finding websites and apps" - Time Travel+Leisure
How cleverlayover works
We find you savings by checking more possibilities
You perform a search to book a flight
Our search tool starts just like any other flight search engine with your origin, destination and dates of travel.
For example, let's say you enter a search for flights from Boston to Sydney.
We look for all the possible layovers
We will search for flights that go through each of the thousands of airports out there. In the example given, we'll search for flights
from Boston to New York plus flights from New York to Sydney, and Boston to
Los Angeles plus Los Angeles to Syndey, etc. until we find the cheapest combination.
You enjoy hundreds of dollars in savings
We won't find savings on every flight, but on one in three searches, we can save you an average of $200. Because we show
flights that combine non-partnered airlines, including flights that put low cost carriers together with major airlines, we can
show you cheaper flights not found elsewhere. If we do find you savings, the results will be labeled as a clever layover.
Extend your layover or choose a desired layover
In addition to allowing you to change the number of passengers and cabin of service, our options allow you to choose the length of
your layover as well as letting you specify the layover. You could end up saving money while spending an extra week in Honolulu!
Take note of the fine print when you travel
When you travel on a clever layover, you're using two tickets, which means
you have to check in and go through security again at the layover location. If the layover is in a different country, you may
also need to pass through customs and present a visa when applicable. Because the tickets are from non-partnered airlines,
a delay in your first flight could cause you to miss your second flight.
Check cleverlayover every time you fly
We won't always find you savings on your current flight, but hopefully we can help on one of your trips at some point.
We love it when we can provide extra information for your flight-planning process!
