DUDES vs GRAVITY presents: GRAVITYboard
The GRAVITYboard was designed from the ground up to break all design rules of traditional hangboards and steer towards more natural curved shapes. We have created a PRO and a LITE version. The names are pretty self-explanatory. If you are just starting with your climbing journey, we would recommend the LITE version. On the other hand, if you are climbing for quite some time and you are serious about improving your finger strength we would suggest the PRO version. Our hangboards are shoulder-width and allow for a natural position while hanging. The installation is super simple and you can install it on any surface.

Our journey
Our story begins with three friends who absolutely love climbing and having adventures. We did all sorts of cool projects together, like making a climbing gym in our attic and building slides and jumps. But our most amazing project was making the world’s first floating climbing wall!
Fueled by our collective creativity and determination, we channeled our experiences into a product. And that product was GRAVITYboard PRO. The turning point arrived when we decided to launch a successful Kickstarter campaign, propelling our vision into a reality. That’s how DUDES vs GRAVITY was born. Now, we’re not just a company; we’re a whole bunch of climbing friends who love to challenge ourselves. If you want to see all our adventures you can watch our YouTube page and see what we’re up to!
Is It Worth Getting a Hangboard for Climbing?
If you’re a climber looking to level up your skills, you might be wondering if getting a hangboard is worth it. Hangboards, also known as fingerboards, are fantastic tools for improving finger strength and grip endurance. But are they right for you? Benefits of Hangboarding
Hangboards are invaluable for targeting specific muscle groups, especially the fingers, hands, and forearms. They help build finger strength and grip endurance, which are crucial for tackling challenging climbs and boulders. The ability to tailor your training to specific holds and edges makes them a versatile tool for climbers.
How Often Should You Hangboard?
The frequency of hangboarding depends on your climbing experience. Beginners should introduce hangboarding into their routine gradually. Generally, 2-3 sessions per week are ideal. More experienced climbers may incorporate it more frequently, but it’s crucial to listen to your body and avoid overtraining.
When to Start Hangboarding
If you’re new to climbing, you might wonder when it’s the right time to start hangboarding. While there’s no specific timeframe, it’s generally recommended to have a few months of climbing under your belt to ensure you’ve developed some foundational strength and technique.
Hangboarding After Climbing
Is it a good idea to hangboard the day after climbing? It depends on your body and climbing schedule. Hangboarding after climbing can help improve your strength, but it’s essential to balance it with rest days to avoid overuse injuries. Listen to your body and consider scheduling hangboard sessions on separate days or well-spaced in your climbing routine.
Conclusion
Hangboarding can be an excellent addition to your climbing training regimen, provided you use it wisely and give your body the time to adapt. As you progress in your climbing journey, hangboards like the GRAVITYboard PRO and GRAVITYboard LITE can be valuable allies in reaching new heights.
