There are already quite a few good rotatable iPad cases available on the market. This one however caught my attention with its subtle yet flexible design.I’ve been waiting for a practical stand like this one for a while! From a distance, it looks just like Apple Smart Folio, however, as you look closely, you’ll notice it’s actually a proper protective case that’d give you extra peace of mind knowing that if you accidentally drop your iPad, your iPad is likely to survive the fall. The feature that stood out the most is the ‘detachable’ cover. You can fold the cover just like you would with the Apple Smart Folio which allows you to position it at the angle of your desire. But with the detachable design, you now have the freedom to not only turn it 90 degrees to position the iPad vertically, but you can also separate your iPad from the ‘stand’ (i.e. the cover) super quickly and leaving it behind, which makes it easy to pass your iPad around (e.g. in a meeting setting) as opposed to cumbersomely passing the entire cover/stand + iPad around.Few things to complain about- Surface material:I really do like the feel of the surface, but after handling it for a couple of hours, I noticed how it attracted the grease/oil (e.g. if you’re looking at a recipe on the iPad while cooking), and if that bothers you, then cleaning the surface would be an ongoing hassle.- Closing the cover doesn’t turn the iPad off:I assumed it was just like Apple Smart Folio, closing the cover meant turning the screen off, so I closed the cover and left to do something else for hours, came back noticing the iPad was feeling quite hot, then found out the screen stayed on (I set my iPad to not go to sleep when it’s plugged in)- Apple Pencil not charging:The thickness of the silicon on the side makes my iPad detecting the Apple Pencil challenging. I’ve noticed how my Apple Pencil ran out of battery because it wasn’t charging!I pressed it harder on the Apple Pencil (sitting in the ‘grove’) against the side of the case, and the iPad then detected the Apple Pencil and began charging, but when I released the pressure, it went ‘offline’ againPros:- Sleek/subtle design- Quality feel to the surface- Detachable cover- Actual case that protects the iPad- Flexibility with positioning the iPad and angling the cover/standCons:- Surface material that attracts grease- Closing the cover doesn’t turn the iPad off- Silicon thickness on the side of the case prevent Apple Pencil from charging

This case comes w/ two parts, the folio (which is familiar) and another outer case for the iPad Pro itself. You put the iPad into the outer case and the folio works w/ the iPad+outcase on it.I really like this design for when I’m using the iPad as a tablet (w/ the Apple Pencil Pro or for consuming media). Also, given how thin the iPad Pro is, the outer case is nice and gives the device some thickness when charging your Apple Pencil.I do think the folio adds some bulk overall but that is to be expected. What is nice, though, is that I can just take the tablet out of the folio easily and it is still protected w/ the outer case. Similar to how you can grab the iPad from the Magic Keyboard, but the difference is that it not protected w/ a case w/ the Magic Keyboard.

M4 iPad feels slightly loose. The outer case also smell awful when a couple of rain drops hit it. But overall very good quality

The product is very wonderful, its quality is high, and it is strong compared to others. My friends were amazed by the high quality and I recommended them to buy from ESR. Thank you.

Feels nice and lightweight. Protects my iPad nicely. My only concern is it’s a bit flimsy and it doesn’t hold my Apple Pencil very well. I think the cover where the pencil goes might be effecting the magnetic strength a bit because it just keeps falling off anytime I open it.

Pour un IPad Pro 13. Étui polyvalent mais assez lourd. Pourrait être plus léger

It seems to be well made and it has a good guarantee.Magnets attach to magnets inside the iPad to hold it in various positions. It may sound strange, but it’s worthwhile to read the instruction sheet or see the video to get the most out of this thing,

The case fits well and I like its features. iPad feels well protected but damn it’s heavy now.

I own and love many ESR products, so when I bought my 2024 iPad Pro 13", ESR was the first place I looked. Like all ESR products, this case is well made, the magnets are strong and the engineering is excellent. I love that you can remove the ‘cover’ off the case and still have it protected. It’s great that you can use the stand in both horizontal and vertical orientation and I love that the flap protects the pencil in transit. The case allows the pencil to still charge through the case, which is nice as well. The one thing I wish this case offered (or any ESR case at the time I’m writing this) is a channel to hold the pencil when you don’t have the case closed. It’s just too easy to knock the pencil off when you’re holding the iPad and my old ESR case had a slot in the case that held the pencil secure. If this had that feature, I’d give it 5 stars. I did discover that if you want to remove the inner case from the cover you can attach the pencil to the magnets on the back of the cover (though it’s obviously not charging the pencil) but it will help you keep track of the pencil if you don’t need to use it at that time. All in all, if you’re looking for a versatile, well built case for your iPad Pro 2024, give this one a look!
