I’ve had a great time at Thomas Worthington! I’ve met many great people of many different cultures and created friendships that will last forever. I have also met many great role models that have taught me many great life skills. The only downside I’ve experienced at Thomas Worthington is the old facilities we use, but the school is getting a great upgrade this year!
It's pretty average, they have college credit plus classes which are nice. The only problems is the students aren't the kindest to other students that are different, there isn't much bullying prevention or intervention.
TWHS was one of the worst school systems I ever experienced. They pretend to care for their students but do nothing to actually help them succeed. They follow the new idea (believed by students) that school now is about passing, not about learning. The best thing that happened to me was meeting my friends and taking Latin, but everything else was absolutely horrible and I would never return.
I really like it so far, it's a really good school. However, there is a lack of diversity due to its most likely predominantly white neighborhood and town, so if you're a POC you will find it a hard time to meet more people like you and you'll notice some cliques made there, so if you're also shy it will be harder to make friends. Nevertheless, it's an over 3.5-4 star school with a lot of choices for careers that you want. It's best however for more open, social people to really be a part of the community of the school.
The school has great teachers and administration. There are many opportunities for students to be involved and there is a strong academic tradition.
The school is really great. They offer a wide variety of courses, clubs, sports, and other activities. I feel the overall education is good as well. Safety is a little bit of a concern. Maybe 5-6 fights break out every year.
When I moved from Lewis Center to Westerville after 4th grade, the first thing that I noticed was that the Worthington district was very diverse in ethnicities and race. Especially Thomas. Not just within the students, but among the teachers as well. The staff there made you feel welcome, and they care about our safety.
The best experiences that I've had so far at my school is joining our theater program, and going to my junior homecoming. These made me feel the happiest and most included within my school community, and it was a lot of fun. My worst experience is when I struggled with CC Pre-Calculus during my junior year because it was the first time that I ever had a hard time understanding math concepts, and it was the first time that I got below a B grade in math.
Something I would like to see change, or improved is the amount of introverted people who don't have community in or outside of school, because it's a very important thing, and we want everybody to feel included.

I have really enjoyed my time at Thomas Worthington. I enjoyed the classes that were offered however I did not enjoy how the teachers were not very personable. I wish the teachers would connect more with students and create relationships. I also wish that students would be more encouraged to participate in school. Sitting in classes where students around me are not excited to learn, don't pay attention, and are disrespectful, makes a negative learning environment.
Overall I find that there is a great sense of community, at least within the performing arts programs. Stuff like marching band for example have allowed me to make stronger connections with the friends I already had, and create bonds with those I had previously not known.
I believe most teachers have a genuine passion for wanting to help kids learn and grow into themselves. Many of the teachers I have had in the past have left a memorable in pact on both my school career and development as a person. Granted many of these classes are harder academically, creating a different environment than the average classroom, but each class has taught me something, not just the teacher.
There are however a handful of teachers that do the opposite. They are bigoted and discriminatory. They refuse to accept people as they are thus creating an animosity for those that are "different." They are loud and present in many people's lives. Complaints from students to administration have done very little.

I really like all the connections I’ve made within sports, classes and especially with teachers. I feel like all of my teachers really want the best for me.
it's a good school generally speaking, it sometimes has a family environment , but among students it gets very toxic and has negative impacts on people
All the years I've spent at Thomas have been quite a journey for me because a lot has happened lately. 1 thing I'll say I liked about Thomas is that it had become a diverse school and it's filled with students all around different parts of the world. Something that I would like to see change is the building for sure because it's too old for a school and needs to be rebuilt.
Thomas Worthington is a great place to go to school. The teachers are very supportive and the students are generally kind and inclusive.
This is a good school with teachers that ensures students' success. TWHS truly encourages learning and student participation in extracurricular activities. TWHS offers a healthy learning environment in which students can effectively learn. TWHS has many great sports programs, as well as a pool that is open to the public over the summer that is a lot of fun. TWHS has hardworking counselors and teachers that provide students with the necessary tools to graduate and live a promising life after high school.
My experience was decent. The school has good teachers academically, but i would say very few teachers actually care about you as a person and care more or the work your submitting and the kind of student you are. The people at this school are not very nice, and not very supportive. People here will always find something to make fun of you about. But if you find the right people, it’s a decent environment to learn and pass your high school years. I do really like the sports here, they are good teams and lots of fun, specially our football team this year.
Not all teachers know how to teach to students with disabilities
Sometimes when my daughters said she didn’t understand something the teacher just repeated the same phrase.
They didn’t always meet her where she is.
She couldn’t receive an extra day to take her ACT test.

I loved Thomas! It was a great experience! I got to meet so many amazing people and so many teachers! I was a straight A student with a 4.1 GPA.
