Yrneh Gabon

Yrneh Gabon is a multi-disciplinary artist who has achieved great success and recognition. He is a graduate of USC Roski School of Fine Arts, BFA (Hons) and Otis School of Arts and design MFA (Visual Arts) MFA (Public Practice). His research and arts practice takes him to East Africa: Tanzania, West Africa, Senegal, Ghana, Mexico, Jamaica, Angou, France, London and here USA. As an artist, his goal is to bring power and awareness to his communities involving science, politically, socially, and as it relates to climate change. His current entry for the 14th Dakar Biennale is about salt.

He has established over his career an extensive sophisticated collector base including collectors such as Ava DuVernay, CCH Pounder, Beth Radin DeWoody, The Wright Collection, James Cameron, Angela Robinson Witherspoon, Musee Boribana, Sebastian Fondasion Collection, California African American Museum and the Museum of Black Civilization in Senegal, which is the largest museum on the African continent., just to name a few.
