View is wonderful. Service is haphazard, food quality is average. I ordered a cheese plate and they had run out of crackers. It was only 6pm. You don’t expect this from the Shanghai-La. Price is exactly as high as expected; but worth it for the view.

Lovely views from the table but service was a little slow and very poor value for money. I understand you pay for where you are but £12 for a bottle of tiger over £40 for an average burger with a tiny portion of chips is just too steep.

Ambience average. I feel a darker setting would be nicer to compliment the views. The food very average and choices very limited. Staff courteous and friendly.

Of course the view is amazing. And it would be lovely to have a little more in the way of healthy food and beverages available, for example a couple of fresh juices and one or two interesting vegan dishes or alternative salads.

First of all: The view was amazing. We got a table right next to the window for the whole duration of sundown. That experience was worth it! Now the food and service: We were 15 minutes early for our booking, got quickly seated and ordered our drinks, starters and main course within 5 minutes of seating. The drinks (mocktails) were very good, but this is where the good things stop. For starters we had a Ceasar Salad and asparagus salad, which were both only mediocre, but got brought out relatively quickly after ordering. Our mains however only got delivered after waiting for 45 minutes and only after the waitress asked us if everyting was in order. This was unacceptable, since you only have a time window of one and a half hour and thus we felt a bit rushed to finish eating. For mains we had the tofu with extra rice and the beef burger. I have tasted all of it and have to say: This has been some of the most mediocre food I have ever eaten. Now, that wouldn't normaly be such a problem, this happens when you eat out. However every single one of those meals cost £30+ and for this pricetag I would have expected way more high quality food. The burger patty was just dry and there was almost no sauce at all, making it taste like almost nothing. The tofu on the other hand was ok, but got served in a weird overlapping bowl that made it really hard to get the food out of the bowl. We really expected more from the food for the money and location and were overall a bit To sum it up I would not revisited the Sky Lounge again. The high prices you pay are not for the quality of the food, but solely for the view. I would recommend that you just book a table at one of the other restaurants in the tower, since they will have a better view, but hopefully better food for the prices they ask for.
