- DirectorDavid MackenzieStarsChris PineBen FosterJeff BridgesToby is a divorced father who's trying to make a better life. His brother is an ex-con with a short temper and a loose trigger finger. Together, they plan a series of heists against the bank that's about to foreclose on their family ranch. My favorite movie of the year does include one hell of a ride. From the opening bank robbery scene you know that this film is going to stand with the greats ofor all time. It's Heat in Texas but ultimately it never actually on reflection feel like it's riding off or even paying homage to any film. This is fill sure has story points that borrow from other films, the only cliche is basically the same one we see in every cop film is the cop is on the brink of retirement. But everything else in this film avoids cliches and becomes it's one film with great writing and directing and especially a film that fits the story about the people who live in that certain location. The athanticy in this films among the actors is real as you can get and that is what makes this film so special is never tries to bring in any type of left field third act plot just so it can end. The third act fits because it does not add anything that is not happening right now. Excellent film.
10/10 - DirectorGareth EdwardsStarsFelicity JonesDiego LunaAlan TudykIn a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction.
- DirectorJeremy SaulnierStarsAnton YelchinImogen PootsAlia ShawkatA punk rock band is forced to fight for survival after witnessing a murder at a neo-Nazi skinhead bar.Wow! Just one word Wow! Because I been waiting for this film ever since I found that the director of Blue Ruin follow up will be something different for a mainstream audience to see because A24 is producing this project and if you follow the studio this will most definitely not to be a film to miss. I love everything about this movie: the tension, the incredible acting and directing and even to create that feel of what will you do in that situation. That is what makes this film special because it is so brutal that you will not look away.

- DirectorMark OsborneStarsJeff BridgesMackenzie FoyRachel McAdamsA little girl lives in a very grown-up world with her mother, who tries to prepare her for it. Her neighbor, the Aviator, introduces the girl to an extraordinary world where anything is possible, the world of the Little Prince.Great animation film. Already three months in 2016 and we already have three sure slots for the best animated feature for the 2017 Oscars. But The Little Prince is something else. Its new original fresh and very magical with its scope of using the idea of growing up is a task that we need to take on but also don't forget to be a person who has a heart in being in love with yourself and enjoy being who you want to be. There is a scene where a grown up asks our main protagonist "What do you want to be when you grow up?" and she doesn't answer and at that point she realizes that she was not up to the task of growing up but she is ready to have an imagination and ready to believe this stories that her neighbor is telling her and it takes her on this journey that she will never forget. Its one of the best films of the year.

While struggling with poverty, personal relationships and life's woes, he starts a band, hoping to catch her attention. Now this is a movie that I had high expectations for and they meet them. Which I don't know why I had my doubts because this is the same director of Once and Begin Again. I tried to be all this movie can't be as good as people are making it out to be. And I was wrong. Funny light hearted while still being real and great exposure for the young actors to showcase that this is there movie. Sure you got Littlefinger, Ms. S, and that one dude from Transformers, but the youngsters are the ones who treat this movie with care and respect throughout the whole film. And now it is on Netflix and call your brother whether you are the oldest or youngest.
10/10 - DirectorPeter BergStarsMark WahlbergMichelle MonaghanJ.K. SimmonsThe story of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and the aftermath, which includes the city-wide manhunt to find the terrorists responsible.
- DirectorJeff NicholsStarsMichael ShannonJoel EdgertonKirsten DunstA father and son go on the run, pursued by the government and a cult drawn to the child's special powers.Wow this movie was worth the 90 minute drive to a beautiful theater to see a beautiful film. That is about discovery in one self of not only of the young boy but also his father. This is an excellent movie and goes in a direction that you don't see coming. You will not see anything like it. Everything in this film fits perfectly with the tone and overall style of this movie works because of what Jeff Nichols brings to the table and the cast has never been better.

https://youtu.be/z8kjLqM2Mdg - DirectorAva DuVernayStarsMelina AbdullahMichelle AlexanderCory BookerAn in-depth look at the prison system in the United States and how it reveals the nation's history of racial inequality.
- DirectorGavin HoodStarsHelen MirrenAaron PaulAlan RickmanCol. Katherine Powell, a military officer in command of an operation to capture terrorists in Kenya, sees her mission escalate when a girl enters the kill zone triggering an international dispute over the implications of modern warfare. The reason why this movie is so high maybe because I had a TV experience with it, and expectations weren't at any level. But it truly is one of the years best movies. For 2 very important reason. 1 the cast all around in front and behind the camera pushes this past TV level in the amount care and subject matter behind it that makes it important to see. That is the second reason this is an important movie about professional people being put in difficult positions on both sides so you get the people who are the drone pilots ( Aaron Paul and Phoebe Fox) to the commanders in different places ( Helen Mirren and Alan Rickman) to the best out of the whole cast the man on the ground risking his life ( Barkhad Abdi). This is one hell of movie that doesn't pull any punches and you will be shaken in the last third.
10/10 - DirectorDenis VilleneuveStarsAmy AdamsJeremy RennerForest WhitakerA linguist works with the military to communicate with alien lifeforms after twelve mysterious spacecraft appear around the world.
- DirectorTheodore MelfiStarsTaraji P. HensonOctavia SpencerJanelle MonáeThe story of a team of female African-American mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA during the early years of the U.S. space program.
- DirectorTaika WaititiStarsSam NeillJulian DennisonRima Te WiataA national manhunt is ordered for a rebellious kid and his foster uncle who go missing in the wild New Zealand bush.
- DirectorPark Chan-wookStarsKim Min-heeHa Jung-wooCho Jin-woongA woman is hired as a handmaiden to a Japanese heiress, but secretly she is involved in a plot to defraud her.
- DirectorBabak AnvariStarsNarges RashidiAvin ManshadiBobby NaderiAs a mother and daughter struggle to cope with the terrors of the post-revolution, war-torn Tehran of the 1980s, a mysterious evil begins to haunt their home.
- DirectorPeter BergStarsMark WahlbergKurt RussellDouglas M. GriffinA dramatization of the disaster in April 2010, when the offshore drilling rig called the Deepwater Horizon exploded, resulting in the worst oil spill in American history.Petter Berg and Marky Mark hit this one out of the park again. Adding the same momentum of care with each character even the higher ups who put those men in that position played by John Malkovich get enough screen time. But to me the strongest part in this movie is being able to connect to these people oh a human level so when someone like Gina Rodriguez tells Marky Mark I don't watch to die or even at the end where Wahlberg even breaks down it is emotional and something that put together perfectly you have something worth seeing.

- DirectorMira NairStarsMadina NalwangaDavid OyelowoLupita Nyong'oA Ugandan girl sees her world rapidly change after being introduced to the game of chess.
