The water was crystal clear, and near the Point of Rocks, the kids had a ton of fun exploring all the shells, oysters and sand dollars. The water was a bit too cold in December to brave swimming out to Point of Rocks, but I get to see it on the drone which was neat. Access point 12 was a good spot for parking. - Rose AHamden, CT53 contributionsWe arrived around 9 am and there was plenty of parking. There are facilities near the entrance. No food available but we brought our own lunch. The beach is smaller, but the water is just as lovely with plenty of waterfront to walk. There is an area to launch a kayak or canoe and there were several people fishing. No lifeguards but signs are posted. There is also a playground and outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand. We would definitely go again when we prefer a less crowded beach and parking! - Valerie C2 contributionsI came to Sarasota with a friend to meet up with one of our college buddies for a mini-retreat. Our Sarasota friend recommended this kayak trip, and we had about the best day ever paddling around the old shark tank, soaking up rays on a breathtaking beach, and adventuring through mangrove. Saw sooooo many beautiful birds. I'm especially grateful to Justin, who was incredibly knowledgable about the history and ecology of our surrounds. He was very friendly, professional, and helpful. - Quest486399456121 contributionI rented a felt hybrid. I usually ride about 25 miles a day. It was a great riding bike. Never had a felt before usually ride Trek but I can't complain. More importantly I have never dealt with a nicer staff during my travels. Donna made sure we had a ride to and from the airport, to the marina for the boat ride, as well as showed us a great day on the water! Being able to speak to someone to book the details was a great personal touch! Special day on water and getting to choose from options made it perfect for us. Eco-tour information, touring inner coastal areas from Osprey to Sarasota was a perfect 3 hour experience. Shade and sun choice with room to stretch out for the four of us, comfy seating, wind in hair, taking in some history of area- dolphins, manatees, mullet, sandbars on our adventure, spoonbills, heron, pelicans on bird island. He was knowledgeable, personable, and answered all our questions before and during the cruise. We saw dolphins, a variety of birds (roseate spoonbills, terns, egrets, herons, and pelicans), and a a lot of beautiful homes. His boat was comfortable, and he even offered a reassuring amount of help to two in our party who use canes because of balance and walking issues.
