Pleasant surprise!

My husband and I were traveling so we could be in the totality of the eclipse and decided to stay in Rolla. We decided to grab a bite to eat and strictly just googled restaurants in the area. Since it had been some time since we had ate any Italian we thought we’d try Di Trapini’s. Oh my goodness!! We were pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. I would definitely recommend trying their house made salad dressing and the eggplant parmigiana. Also Jennifer was our waitress and was so attentive and made our dining experience sooo good.

Five star delicious meal

Food was excellent and shrimp was perfectly cooked! Pasta was tasty, fresh, well seasoned and good price point as well. Highly recommend for an absolutely delicious Italian meal.

Pasta dish was watery and poorly seasoned. Service was not very good and we had difficulty getting waitress’ attention.

My pasta dish was watery and not very well seasoned. My husband is seafood lasagna was OK but he said he wouldn’t order it again. We had difficulty getting our waitresses attention in the service wasn’t very good. We had high hopes for this restaurant but I’m not sure we’ll go back.

Try This Place! Superb food and great service. Highly recommend this restaurant! Classy but casual environment. Fresh, homemade, flavorful cuisine. Nice music. I’ll be back the next time I’m in town.

This is an awesome place to come. The food tastes like it is straight from Italy, and the atmosphere is very special. We found the staff very personable, and the chef obviously is talented! If you are in Rolla, MO make an effort to go. We went tonight and it was a major highlight of our girl’s trip!

Went for the Italian food. It was limited but good. NO Italian wines on the menu. The Italian selections were limited as well.

Rolla has nice restaurants???

I grew up in this town years ago, left in 1986, and have only been back a few times since, but I had no idea a restaurant this nice existed in Rolla. The facility is undergoing some renovation, so it’s a little rough, but the interior decor is elegant and upscale, and the menu is quite nice. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and prompt. The salmon was offered on Alfredo sauce and pasta, but the chef was kind enough to offer marinara and pesto as alternative (I chose the pesto and was happy with that). The mahi mahi special was beautiful though I did not get to taste it. I understand they have a Wednesday special of cashew chicken, which I do not quite understand as it’s definitely not a Chinese restaurant. But maybe it’s a different version of cashew chicken than what I am picturing. Absolutely would recommend this for a nice restaurant experience in Rolla, suitable for business and special occasions.

$71 including tip for a substantial carafe of wine, two glasses of Peroni, Citrus salmon entree and linguini with meatballs plus sausage for dinner on 11-11-20. Really tasty food and generous portions in a very relaxed, cozy, unique setting(converted warehouse?). Tracy was very helpful and I think the owner/chef was circulating as well. Looks like the room can be divided for large/larger groups post Covid. Not on the strip, but that just adds to the charm. Easy enough to find. Do not miss Di Trapani’s if you’re in Rolla.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and we were greeted warmly. That was just the start...waiter/bartender could not have been nicer. He advised us on our selections and was very attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Another great meal

I used to have to drive thirty miles each way to eat at Di Trapani’s, so I was excited when they opened in Rolla. My excitement never abates because every meal I’ve had there has been excellent. Tonight I celebrated my anniversary with my wife and daughter. The atmosphere is warm and lends itself to quiet conversation. The food was excellent as I have come to expect. The prices were decent, quality good, temperatures perfect, and we split a tiramisu three ways to top off the meal. It was perfect.

Better and Better!

We have visited this restaurant several times since it opened and I can honestly say it just gets better and better each time! The food is delicious and thoughtfully prepared—the salmon and citrus risotto is great! We have enjoyed their specials. Chef Scheffer’s table-side visits are always a treat! Great for a special lunch or a date night out. Personal, friendly service and truly delicious Italian food. Highly Recommend!
