The school I attended is renowned for its academic excellence, boasting a student body distinguished by intelligence and self-reliance. This atmosphere of academic rigor is further enriched by the active participation of magnet students in various extracurricular activities, fostering a vibrant and engaging learning environment.
One of the school's notable achievements is its high number of National Merit Finalists, a testament to the dedication and commitment of both students and faculty to academic excellence. This recognition underscores the school's rigorous academic standards and the exceptional abilities of its students.
Despite its academic accolades, the school faces challenges in ensuring campus safety. Vulnerabilities in security measures have made it relatively easy for unauthorized individuals to access the premises, highlighting the need for improved security protocols to safeguard students, staff, and visitors.

During my first year at Clark, the experience I had there was very enjoyable. The teachers care about their students and even try to help when your struggling. I am in the orchestra that they have there it is considered to be the biggest one in Las Vegas, and it does hold up its reputation. The instructors are very motivated and enjoy teaching students the correct technique for playing a classic instrument. That is just one of the fine arts they have there, they also have a marching band, choir, and theater. I have personally not seen how these other fine arts groups handle things, but from other students, I've heard that they are just as great as orchestra. Clark does have its defects, but they aren't a huge problem the biggest one is the food there. The food could be better but considering that the food is free it's to be expected that it isn't the best food possible. Overall I would say that Clark is a good school.
My experience at Ed W. Clark High School has been a roller coaster. There is always good and bad days like in any other place. However, I’ve experienced rude and disrespectful people. It may surprise you that these people weren’t students, but faculty members. Most of the time, the faculty at Ed W. Clark High School is rude to the students. We are not treated with respect and aren’t greeted nicely anytime we come into the school. My interactions with faculty members has sadly been one of my worst experiences at this school. I’d like to see the respect that faculty members expect, be reciprocated toward students.
Ed W. Clark High School has also provided me with positive experiences. Many of them have occurred in extracurricular activities that I’ve participated in. For instance, my dance team. Clark Dance Company has made my high school experience extraordinary. I’ve learned to comfortably share an environment full of different energies, styles, emotions, and opinions.
