• Brie Larson is in total Captain Marvel shape—and her abs certainly prove it.
  • In a new Instagram photo, the 32-year-old actress posed in a blue crop top and a pair of jeans. And damn, her abs are pure #fitspo!
  • To stay in such amazing shape, Brie makes sure to be consistent with her workouts, which are full of strength training moves and compound exercises.

Brie Larson is on a single-handed mission to bring flare jeans back. And in a new Instagram post, she has me totally convinced that I need to buy a pair. The 32-year-old Captain Marvel star shared a snap of herself rocking high-waisted flares, that she paired with a cute blue crop top. She's also posing with her arms above her head, giving us a full view of her washboard abs.

She captioned the post with a simple, "đź’™".

And her followers are loving it. Model Faye Orlove left the best comment: "it's reading delias catalogue 🦋," she wrote. Actor Vin Diesel commented, "Angel", and Brie's trainer Jason Walsh wrote, "Babe 🔥❤️".

But how exactly did she get that ripped? Well, luckily for us, Brie doesn't exactly keep her now-infamous fitness routine a secret.

In February 2022, Brie shared a video on her YouTube channel about her 2022 fitness goals: "I've put on my calendar every day to train...but something always happens," she shared in the video. She also shared her pre-workout stretch and warm-up, which included lots of yoga moves, jumping jacks, hip thrusts, and more.

And to get those abs, Brie shared one of her many core workouts on Instagram in February 2022. In it, she uses a resistance machine loaded with weight to crush cable reverse crunches, and puts her feet through straps connected to the machine to pull the weights.

"Working up to 10 reps, 3x at body weight 🥵," she captioned the video.

Beyond that, Brie works with her trainer Jason Walsh (who is also the go-to person for Alison Brie, Chloe Grace Moretz, and Irina Shayk) and he shared a video back in 2021 of Brie crushing single-arm pull-ups.

To get in shape for Captain Marvel, Brie worked with nutritionist Dr. Philip Goglia, who told People that Brie started her mornings off with a teaspoon each of almond butter and all-fruit jam or preserves. “The most recent science has shown that a little bit of fat and a little bit of simple sugar will actually increase intensity rate while you train early in the morning... and allow you to still continue to train and burn fat,” he said. “That really does start your engine for you.”

Brie would also typically have a protein shake or some eggs for breakfast. Then, she'd eat a "bridge meal" of fruit before lunch, which Dr. Goglia explained helps "get to lunch so that you don’t overeat lunch." Lunch would usually be chicken and veggies and she'd have two more snacks before dinner, plus more fruit as a bedtime snack.

Brie also drinks tons of water—think three to four liters a day. “I think water ought to be a prescriptive thing–it’s just that important,” Dr. Goglia said.

Keep crushing it, Brie!
