The school has huge water bugs and mouse traps all over, and the school's only concern is how much money they can get out of students. While some professors are amazing the staff outside of teaching is terrible, unprofessional, and has little to no compassion. I also experienced some staff being extremely rude to students with disadvantages. If this school was not the only university close to me I would have transferred a long time ago. They only care about the money, I even have had a professor sadly pass and the school didn't even notice or care to acknowledge it. They only caught on when students said something about their absences and expressed concern. If you can go to another school, I recommend you do that.

Review Saint Peter's University

If you're not into partying, and want a chill college experience - come to Saint Peter's. Parties exist, but if you prefer a hangout or small get together, Saint Peter's is pretty chill. Freshmen dorms are nothing special & outdated, but you'll live. The upper-classman dorm is nice. Be warned this school has mostly commuters, so weekends are quiet. Classes are small, classrooms outdated - most professors tend to be lenient & kind, and are well-educated. Lot's of good connections, internships & opportunities if you get to know / talk to professors/staff. In general people on-campus are kind and chill (It gives high school sometimes tho...), The area isn't safe- It's Jersey City, so you have to ask where to go & not to go - a lot of good food + EASY to get to NYC from campus (PATH Journal Square). Some complain there's nothing to do on-campus, this isn't really true - Student orgs, departments, and RAs host events, you just have check socials/flyers then ACTUALLY attend.

Saint Peter's University is alright overall. The classes and clubs are decent, but the campus could use some sprucing up. Some professors really know their stuff, while others are just okay. The student body is pretty diverse, which makes for a cool vibe around campus. Dealing with the administration can be a bit of a headache sometimes, though. Overall, it's not the fanciest place, but you'll get a solid education and have some fun along the way. If you're looking for a chill college experience without all the frills, Saint Peter's might just fit the bill.
