Refilling ink/toner cartridges
What’s with the absurd amount of people coming in and claiming that we refill ink/toner cartridges even though we don’t?
Like I heard for a little while we did but stopped because the process was too much? The only place I know that refills ink cartridges is Costco, usually only HP. Does our office brand ink confuse them?
Also, there’s so many that insist there’s somewhere that refills toner, but no where does because it’s too messy?

Can confirm. I heard the company that leased the machines to OfficeMax went under. The day they removed that piece of junk from ImPress was one of my happiest days at OMX.

I had someone return an ink refill that was over a year old...they claimed it didn't work when they finally got around to using it the day before they came in for the return.
OfficeMax stopped sometime before Aug 2013 (that’s the first time I worked for the company and it had already stopped, at least in my area, which isn’t small). Idrk anything OD before the merger.
It has been awhile since anyone has asked but I had about four people ask me today. And when I tell them no they always ask where they can go like I’m a walking google search page or something.
My favorite was “do you guys still give free teams of paper for recycling cartridges?” Like wtf? I have been with the company for 8+ years and this was never a thing since I have been here so go away.
I had someone bring in a coupon for this and heavily initiated we give them this specific paper that we no longer carried (it was like 8 years old) we just gave them a thing of clearance paper to get em out of here.
I was glad when we stopped(OD). Not a week didn't go by that I came in and it'll be a pool of black ink on the floor. Back home we had Cartridge. World and some of the drug stores did it.
At the first OMX I worked at (which shut down after the merger since there were 2 OD stores near it, rip 535) my boss let me at the PC inside the kiosk to shut it off so we didn't have to process the fucking recycles. They were a waste of time.
It's stopped when I was hired in, almost 8 years ago.
From what I was told, Office Max wasn't paying the ink companies or something, so they threatened to sue us, so we just stopped doing it.
