In Loving Memory of Roberto Cabañas, Jr.

Roberto Cabañas, Jr. left this world far too young, but he left an undeniable and indelible mark on everyone whose life he touched. Roberto was a mentor, a choreographer, an organizer, and a community leader who championed the most marginalized among us. In his career and in his personal life, Roberto created spaces that allowed people to experience the power of their own voices and their own artistic expressions. His bright spirit, his commitment to social and economic justice issues, and his dedication to the young people of Newark inspired individuals to build movements, to take action, to affect positive change in our communities, and to dance.

Please join us in honoring and celebrating the life of Roberto Cabañas, Jr. by making a contribution to this memorial fundraiser which will provide assistance for the family to cover funeral expenses. Any funds raised beyond the funeral expenses will be donated to a scholarship fund for Dynamic Dynasty, a dance crew for young people in Newark founded by Roberto.
