An archeological dig in Iraq uncovers a giant mummified corpse referred to in scripture as a mythological race known as the Nephilim. The discovery prompts its father, a fallen angel, to trek out of Hell to resurrect his son's kind through the blood of the team's female researcher.
The ying to the yang of writer/director Kevin VanHook's Frost: Portrait of a Vampire (2003). Every wrinkle in the story can be pegged with certainty, but that's preferable to the heavy aimlessness of whatever his prior film was trying for. From this comes a very tame tone, even within the television framework, with little blood outside of a couple biblically slaughtered barbarians.
The Fallen Ones will disappoint those seeking horror from what's…
This won an Oscar in 2006 for being the greatest movie ever made.
Kevin VanHook won a Nobel Peace Prize for directing The Fallen Ones.
Casper Van Dien was the mayor of New York for a year until his impeachment trial when his times to organized crime and terrorists sent him into exile. He would only communicate to the populace by starring in under the radar direct to video/streaming movies so he could spread his message while being in a place where nobody could find him.
Blockbuster kept it on the New Movie shelf for 7 months because they could never keep enough copies.
When the movie started playing on airplanes the amount of people flying jumped by 7%.

A rough start, but stick with it, trust me. Weird and funny with some surprisingly good acting sprinkled in. The effects are fairly good, considering the time and budget.
My favorite part was the giant half men half machine did absolutely nothing but trip and fall into a pit.
Casper Van Dien as a lead will make any movie a must see for me. He's always charming, convincing, and exciting no matter the role. We have several other faces that you may recognize but won't remember the names of or where exactly you've seen them. But it's fun! It's all very very light to a point of nearly feeling like a G rated adventure you'd see on a family channel but it's labeled as a horror which is kinda cute. The opening bits promise you gods and monsters but it never really deliver so that. Although yes there is some 40 foot tall giant mayhem but it takes a bit to get to there again after the opening. The wait isn't boring, there's lot of random action, some funny dialogue, and lots of Casper Van Dien to keep you satiated.
Easy going Saturday matinee worth the time spent.
Meh... cool idea, but a weak movie. I like the idea of a horror/adventure movie based upon little known biblical canon. The concept is interesting, but this movie just did not deliver. This must have been a made-for-tv movie and/or made by a faith-based company, because it had no edge or grit to it at all. The CG was dated, but I thought the giant mummy design actually looked cool.
It's like The Family Channel tried to make a monster movie.
Wow
Not just a fix for your Saturday afternoon hankering for CVD the fallen is so much more.
Hey we get bonuses such as Tom “Mr C” Bosley slipping in and out of a somewhat camp Yiddish accent a rather lovey Kristen Miller and...wait for it...a giant and not just one, ok ok “technically “ there’s just one giant-giant but there’s also this, this... well it’s a... uhm... ok, it’s this giant construct thingy made up of and moving under the power of a few dozen brain fried cultists so think like a wireframe humanoid giant powered by chanting nut jobs. Ahh good times
All that Goodness and a scowling RJ Wagner tops off what makes for another CVD masterpiece
When I think of truly terrible movies I don't think of these low budget horror/adventure movies. I think of the movies like what I last saw (He's All That) which had major backing, an already established story and all of the thrills to make something at least interesting but then fail to make anything even remotely good.
I must say I liked this one more than I was expecting! I found out about this one because it was one of the trailers on some other no-budget horror film I probably loved and I decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did! It's actually a pretty goofy action adventure horror film with a good amount of CGI and fun mummy monsters and flying skeleton things. A fun time, despite some occasional pacing issues.
