Deep Forest III* – Comparsa

On my copy, side two was not centered properly so there is some needle movement from side to side. Also, there are quite a few pops and clicks on the same side.

Just playing through for the first time, dead flat vinyl, lovely crystal clear, sound if pretty decent, could do with a little more sparkle in the highs, but certainly not bad at all. Dead quiet background, no pops or clicks, and dare I say it, mine is extremely clean out of the box. Well done MOV, never fail to put something high quality out. Definitely not my favorite album of theirs, but it's ok.

The love for the beauty of nature that this album transmits is expressed in its totally heterogeneous and almost unclassifiable music; sounds that inspire a journey through the Central American jungle and some tour of East Africa (Madagascar), with this album begins the short but rich introduction of wind instruments with almost shamanic and legendary collaborations such as that of Ivan Zawinul (Weather Report ), collaborating on some keyboard arrangements. The spirit of the forest lives on more than ever in another deep dive into the rainforest, in this case. The magical, spiritually uplifting and positive songs are reminiscent of an impromptu dance on a Caribbean beach.
Beauty comes with more vivid colors on a disc that doesn't have any waste. Perhaps one of the best albums left by the French duo led at the time by Eric Mouquet and Michel Sanchez

Legacy of beautiful tribal, native, trance, techno, Caribbean, ambient, club and hip hop sounds of the first album successfully orchestrated again!! A very nice style to this world/ambient group!
