It was a really good presentation and tour of this museum. We arrived almost at closing time, but they still managed to let us in, and showed us everything in detail. The tour guide even made pictures with us in certain types of aircrafts, and they also explained some technical details as well. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommend for those who have some passion or interest in aircrafts.

Dominated by the road, car park and the noisy quarry overlooking it but the north coastline, with beaches, a bit of grass, eventually some bush tracks, and surf drowning out the noise, is great. Small hidden beaches further out. I wonder if the intrepid could get around the south side to Killalea or if the quarry blocks it, I should have tried that way.

Looks like it used to be a farm. Get past the busy entrance road and surrounding fields to the valley and it's beautiful. A wild and beautiful beach and a nice lake full of birds. A lot of noise from the quarry over the hill - the surf drowns it out but the lake is affected. And tourist trucks are allowed to drive down the so-called "Walking Track" to the beach (it's actually and old gravel road so not actually good for walking) and aggro cyclists take over the tracks too. A great place for this sort of town though.

My family and I are so lucky to live nearby, that we are regular visitors to the park and shops by the harbour. The play area is fantastic for kids of all ages, and there is plenty of room for parents to sit and relax, and for families to gather for picnics. My young daughters love playing in the sand by the park and, when the tide is low, walking over the seaside rocks to see what sea life they can discover.

Very friendly centre. Not large, but filled with useful maps and leaflets, located opposite a gravel car park.

Great family day at the Santa Train. Everyone was pleasant and patient enjoying the vibe. Loved Aussie Bush Santa in his gum boots!

No, it really is good. The black unfriendly facade is deceiving, once inside it's bright and extensive with great staff and a lot of study rooms and then a very comfy gallery looking over the valley and sculpture garden. One of the best libraries around. Also has a small and boring museum.

The front of this new development, facing the square outside, is strangely off-putting with the dark face, but inside the building is great. Much of it is the library, which is a great one from the good management to the setting looking over the gardens below it. There's a very basic museum at the back of the library, a cafe, council service desks and maybe more.

Hidden away at the back of Shellharbour's great city library and probably with an entrance from the cafe, this is a very short diversion. No coherent history of Shellharbour but a few quite interesting snippets of past life. Then some stuff they got from the latest antique store closure, like five random box brownie cameras.
