Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School Reviews
Rating 4.33 out of 5 9 reviews
Bernard Zell has been a haven for our family for the past 8 years. The strong education combined with the constant teaching of values is what makes the school so very special. Behind the large brick wall is truly an oasis in a large city where the students and teachers come together to instill a "menchiness" in all our children. From the endless educational resources to the fun sporting games, this BZ community has enriched our lives in so many ways. We are beyond thankful our children get to spend their days here growing into strong and compassionate leaders!
I can't imagine being anywhere else. BZ has been such a welcoming community where teachers care so deeply about their students, where families help each other out, and where students become wonderful humans. The school has supported my student in all avenues of his education and are always open to find ways to be even better. I love being here!
BZ is a great school. Our children are happy to go to school every day. The teachers are so warm and know our children so well. The class sizes allow for excellent differentiation. The music and athletic programs are top notch ( athletics in the middle school are taken very seriously but kids are supportive of one another and the majority of kids join the teams regardless of athletic ability). Strong math, science, writing and humanities. Lots of performance opportunities. Kids leave having played a band instrument of their choice, guitar and have choir and have stage performance/ drama experience. Great trips in the middle school - retreats, a week in Washington DC , 2 full weeks in Israel . Kids from here end up at the most selective high schools and do well once there. Some students will leave as fluent Hebrew speakers and others not as much but all will leave with a strong Jewish identify and know how to be a Jew in a non Jewish world. Highly observant families may not be a fit
