JBHS STUDENTS FOR THE 24-25 SCHOOL YEAR: READ THIS MESSAGE CAREFULLY

    WHAT IS CHANGING:

BUSD is experiencing significant budget constraints for 2024-2025 that will affect the number of classes at JBHS. This means we will no longer be able to have the flexibility with schedule changes that we have enjoyed in the past.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

You will need to commit to final decisions about your classes for next year before May 23, which is the last day of this school year. During registration and the first two weeks of school, you will likely not be able to change your classes based on preference.

    • COMMIT TO AP, HONORS: Commit to AP or Honors courses one way or the other for the year before May 23.

    • VIEW AERIES PORTAL: Your course requests are viewable in Aeries. Review them ASAP.

    • REVIEW ELECTIVES CHOICES: Before May 23, complete the preference ranking google form if you are incoming 11th and 12th. This was sent out via email. We will do our best to accommodate choice, but we will prioritize space and grad requirements.
° NOTE: If you have requested Photo 1, culinary arts 1, sculpture 1, or ASL 1, space is severely limited. Anticipate needing to take another elective.

    • CONTACT YOUR COUNSELOR: JBHS counselors will be available outside of the gym during finals week brunch: May 20, 21, 22. Additionally, if you know you have a change to make, please email your counselor between now and May 23.

For full message, visit JBHS website or view Mr. Knoop's special email from May 6.
