Ramon Estevez, also known as Ramon Sheen, is an American actor and director who runs Estevez Sheen Productions. He is best known for starring in That Was Then… This Is Now (1985) and Cadence (1990).

Ramón Luis Estévez was born on August 7, 1963, in New York, United States of America.

He attended Santa Monica High School in California. In high school, Estevez was rated as the most talented dancer. He was also credited for being the best school choreographer in Oklahoma.

Estevez began his career at an early age. He is best known for featuring in That Was Then… This Is Now (1985) and Cadence (1990). In addition, Estevez is the managing director of a Warner Bros.-affiliated company, Estevez Sheen Productions, a company owned by his father, the legendary Hollywood actor, Martin Sheen. Through the Estevez Sheen Productions, Estevez produced Anger Management (2012-2014) alongside his brother, Charlie Sheen.

Estevez has also been involved in Broadway productions, such as The Subject Was Roses in 2010. Another Estevez Sheen Productions project was The Way in 2011, written and directed by Emilio Estevez and starring Martin Sheen.

His father, Martin Sheen, whose real name is Ramón Antonio Gerardo Estévez, is an Irish-Spanish-American actor, director and producer. Sheen rose to fame in Terrence Malick’s crime drama, Badlands (1973), and Francis Ford Coppola’s Vietnam War drama, Apocalypse Now (1979).

In an illustrious career that has spanned three decades, Sheen has received numerous awards for his works, including three Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award and four Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Estevez’s mother, Janet Elizabeth Estévez, is an American actress best known for playing “Elaine de Kooning” in the miniseries, Kennedy. She also appeared in the film Rated X, where she played the role of a nurse. She was the associate producer of the film Beverly Hills Brats, and executive producer of The Way.

Ramon Estevez is the second of four siblings, who are all actors. His elder brother, Emilio Estevez, is notable for starring in The Outsiders (1983), The Breakfast Club (1985), Wisdom (1986), Men at Work (1990), Freejack (1992), Loaded Weapon 1 (1993), Mission: Impossible (1996), Rated X (2000), and Bobby (2006). He was also a prominent figure in two film franchises: Young Guns (1988) and its 1990 sequel, and The Mighty Ducks (1992–1996; 2021).

Carlos Irwin Estévez, professionally known as Charlie Sheen, is perhaps, the most popular of the Estévez siblings. He has appeared in films such as Platoon (1986), Wall Street (1987), Young Guns (1988), The Rookie (1990), The Three Musketeers (1993) and The Arrival (1996). However, Charlie is best known for playing “Charlie Harper” on the CBS sitcom, Two and a Half Men (2003–11). His performance ensured he received multiple Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy nominations. In 2010, he was the highest-paid actor on television, reportedly earning $1.8 million per episode of Two and a Half Men. 

The controversial actor has made negative headlines over the years for alcohol abuse, drug abuse and marital problems, which affected his acting career, including the termination of his contract for Two and a Half Men. In 2015, Charlie publicly revealed that he was HIV positive, having been diagnosed four years earlier. The revelation led to a vast increase in online searches for HIV prevention and testing, which became known as the “Charlie Sheen effect”.

Renée Pilar Estevez is the youngest and only female of the Estevez siblings. She is also a former actress and screenwriter. Some of her works include Heathers (1988), Intruder (1989), and Anger Management, which she featured alongside her brother, Charlie. However, Renée has not featured in any movie since 2015.

Regarding his personal life, Ramon Estevez is divorced once and has three children – Katherine Estevez, Luis Jr. Estevez and Christopher Estevez. He is also bisexual as he has been engaged to David Woodbury since 2020.
