                                                                                                  The first thing you noticed when you walk in the door are all the pictures of famous people who have eaten at this restaurant. The food was delicious. They also had live entertainment. Overall, it was very enjoyable evening.

                                                                                                  My family has been here before and enjoyed it but will not be returning after our most recent visit. The restaurant smelled. Our meals were not very good. The agnolotti was particularly disappointing. We will find a new Italian restaurant in Manhattan.

                                                                                                  When is a reservation not a reservation? When it’s made at DaMarino. Made a reservation because it was close to the theater. Walked into a very crowded restaurant and was told it would be a 30-45 minute wait. Fortunately I was able to walk across the street and get a table for 3. It’s like the old Seinfeld bit, they know how to take a reservation but don’t know what to do with the reservation.

                                                                                                  The fact that the restaurant was empty when we walked in after seeing Book of Mormon (it’s right next door to the theatre) says it all. The location was the best feature of this restaurant. The smell of Fabuloso cleaning solvents hits your nose as soon as you come into the restaurant and completely ruined the dining experience. The food was average at best; my veal was rubbery and the “piccata” sauce was brown. I asked for bolognase for my side of pasta and the waiter told me I couldn’t get it, then later told me I could get it for an upcharge, then acted like he did me a favor by getting it for me. On flip side, the lobster ravioli was really good. This restaurant needs an overhaul. There are a million other Italian restaurants in the city that do it better.
