I think I own the same promo copy, and it does indeed have a play time of about 4:00. There is a 4:40 version where Cher repeats part of the last verse and the instrumental fadeout happens sooner -- I believe it's posted on YouTube.

Although my single is in near-mint condition, the sound quality is horrible; all the high frequencies are rolled off, leaving a muddy mess. Either the recording itself is poor or someone did a bad job cutting the record. I don't know if the stock single sounds better.

A remastered release of this song and other more-obscure recordings not found on the usual greatest hits collections would certainly be welcome!

I played both sides of my promo copy, and they both clock in at around 3:55 instead of 3:30 (or 4:40).

Phil Spector's vaunted "wall of sound" had turned to dingy wallpaper by the time he produced the handful of singles by Cher, Nilsson, and Dion for his short-lived Warner/Spector label. Cher's voice sounded tired and hoarse above Spector's thudding drone. Fans who believe Spector could do no wrong might enjoy this, but Cher fans will likely be disappointed.
