Quickfire half-centuries by Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh went in vain as SRH registered their second away win on a bounce, beating KKR by 23 runs at the Eden Gardens. The hosts were restricted on 205/7 chasing SRH's 228/4. HOwever, after a troubled start in the first five overs, KKR were always behind the run chase. Eventhough they were helped by dew on the field and some dropped catches, they could never come close to threatening the visitors and were handed their second loss in four games.

WICKETT Natarajan has struck, dismissing Nitish Rana. Even as Rinku Singh has hit a couple of sixes, the required rate is mounting up. KKR now need 58 runs in the last three overs. Not out of reach, but surely extremely stiff. But Rinku and Shardul Thakur have done weirder things in the recent past.

Nitish Rana is striking cleanly, and he has an in-form Rinku Singh for company. Can the duo turn the tables around?

MARKANDE GETS JAGADEESAN, RUSSELL!The spinner breaks a vital stand and gets rid of the dangerous Russell and KKR have now lost half their side in the chase.

MARCO JANSEN STRIKESThe pacer dismisses Venkatesh Iyer and Sunil Narine off successive deliveries after KKR are kept on a leash early in the powerplay. Both the batters depart in their bid to hit big. 20/3 in 3.3 overs

Venkatesh Iyer comes in as the Impact Substitute

WICKET Bhuvneshwar Kumar has struck in the first over. Rahmanullah Gurbaz, looking to go after the pacer, ends up getting an edge to the third man fielder. No run on the board as yet for KKR.

Led by Harry Brook's century, Sunrisers Hyderabad have powered to a massive 227/4 - a score that hasn't been chased down in IPL history. KKR will have dew to aid them, but it will still be a monumental task. Brook didn't allow the pacers to settle in. When the spinners tied him down, Aiden Markram and Abhishek Sharma provided ample support to take them down. Barring Sunil Narine, none of the other bowlers were economical. Andre Russell bagged three wickets but had to be taken off the field after sustaining an injury, which will be a bigger cause of concern for KKR - not only in this game to chase down the big total but for the rest of their campaign. An update on the extent of his injury is still awaited.

WICKET Andre Russell has struck for the third time, dismissing Abhishek Sharma. However, he seems to be struggling and limping out of the field.

Lockie Ferguson is back into the attack and Harry Brook is back to his attacking ways. Crisp, clean hitting. 23 runs from the 15th over. 157/3 in 15 overs

Another dropped catch off Suyash Sharma's bowling! This time it's a rather easy chance put down by Shardul Thakur. Abhishek Sharma gets a reprieve.

WICKET Aiden Markram departs soon after reaching a brisk fifty. The SRH skipper had taken the onus of attacking the KKR spinners, and quite successfully. However, he departs slogging Varun Chakravarthy to the fielder at deep. A super knock by the captain. 129/3 in 13.4 overs

Harry Brook's scoring has been control, but Aiden Markram slammed a six off the last ball of the 10th over to help SRH to 94 for 2 at the halfway mark. How much will SRH be able to post in this innings?

DROPPEDSuyash Sharma nearly had Harry Brook, but couldn't hold on to a tough chance. Brook has been kept in check by the KKR spinners.

POWERPLAYAndre Russell struck twice in his first over, but harry Brook's assault has ensured that Sunrisers Hyderabad have made a strong start in the powerplay. The English batter has scored 39 in 17 balls. 65/2 in 6 overs

WICKET Andre Russell has struck off his first ball. Mayank Agarwal, who was off to a slow start, gives an easy catch to the short third fielder. 46/1 in 4.1 overs

Harry Brook has cut loose early. 43 for no loss in 3 overs. The opening position with the hard new ball seems to be working for Harry Brook. Do you remember which other English batter enjoyed this promotion to the top of the order and changed his fortunes in the IPL?

Anyone else with that gut feel, already?

TOSS: Kolkata Knight Riders have won the toss and elected to field. Nitish Rana, the KKR captain, believes dew will play a part in what is expected to be a high-scoring game.
