Jerry's new fling

by ALISON BOSHOFF, Daily Mail

He is tall, handsome, rich and ten years her junior - all of her favourite things.

Jerry Hall, who split from her tall, handsome toyboy George Waud over the summer, is having an 'intense fling' with Tim Attias, a banker-about-town with a formidable reputation as a ladies' man.

On Wednesday night, Mick Jagger's ex-wife and the multi-millionaire dined at the fashionable Nobu restaurant in London's Old Park Lane, scene of Boris Becker's infamous broom cupboard tryst.

The previous evening, 45-year-old Miss Hall had joined him for a party at his £ 1.5million Notting Hill home in West London, which featured a series of poetry readings.

And last week they returned from a mini-break at the Jagger family home on Mustique, where they were seen canoodling at the Well Digger pub.

A friend of 35-year-old Mr Attias said: 'They are

absolutely besotted with each other. It is all Tim can talk about. She has met all of his friends and is perfectly charming.

'They are seeing each other night and day. It's a very intense fling.'

Never married, Mr Attias has until now enjoyed a bachelor lifestyle to the full.

Friends say it is not uncommon for him to have up to five women on the go at once - although this is not the case at present.

His romantic past means he has evolved what are known as Tim's Rules.

These are:

Never sit in the window of a restaurant

Always call her darling (to avoid embarrassing mis-ups over names).

Do not hold hands in the street (to avoid being spotted in compromising positions by other loves).

Mr Attias met Miss Hall through the Kabbalah, an offshoot of Judaism to which she is devoted and which he is also interested in.

Mr Attias, who friends say is gregarious and charming, has learned not to speak to the Press about the romance.

He said: 'I am a simple man with simple tastes and I like my private life, so I am not going to give away any details which could confuse that.'

His friends believe that - perhaps unlike film producer Mr Waud - he has the money to keep Jerry in the style to which she has become accustomed. 'Tim is just the sort of person who would take you to Mustique for the weekend - he's loaded,' said one.

He is also a keen polo player and runs a team from Lord Cowdray's estate in West Sussex.

It costs him up to £500,000 a year - but bonuses from his job with investment bankers ABN Amro are said to be regularly in the region of £2million.

He recently expanded his Notting Hill home by buying the neighbouring property and knocking the two together, with one spacious flat now serving as his bedroom and bathroom.

Miss Hall ended her marriage to 58-year-old Jagger after it emerged that he had fathered a child with Brazilian model Luciana Morad.

Her first serious boyfriend since the end of that relationshipwas 33-year-old Mr Waud. But the former model called off the affair in April, claiming the Old Harrovian was 'way, way, way too young'.

She had tired of conducting their relationship between London, New York and Los Angeles.

Mr Waud was also apparently jealous of the close relationship she maintains with Jagger. The two still holiday together, and spent time as a family on Mustique over the summer.

Miss Hall has given up modelling and is now reinventing herself as an actress.

Mr Attias's parents, James and Wendy, live in Godalming, Surrey.

His mother said: 'Yes I know about Jerry Hall - he mentioned it some time ago. But I can't really comment on it because I don't think that Tim would want me to.'
