Watch My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 - Crunchyroll
Akane Kinoshita, a female college student, faces the absolute worst situation when she ends up breaking up with her boyfriend after he has an affair with a woman he met playing an online game.
While relieving her stress by rampaging through the open hunting grounds of an online game,
Akane spills everything about her heartbreak to “Yamada”, a player she met by chance who happens to be in the same guild.
“I don't care,” is his curt reply.
But when Akane gets a makeover and joins an offline event to get back at her ex-boyfriend,
she hears those dreadful words again.
And that was Akane's fateful encounter with “Yamada”─!

Im already in love
I really like the animation and he might be cold but his personality isn't boring to me at all. This was an incredible first episode I already know I'll love this. This is defiantly gamer girl approved.

First impressions from first episode
The art style is great and I'm excited to see the character development for Akane and Yamada. Akane seems like the type of character that is driven by revenge but ends up falling for the guy that is helping her. I did not read the manga but still have high expectations!

A good RomCom for people who like Slice of Life
If you're here looking for MMO isekai, you'll probably be disappointed. Gaming here merely serves as a plot device, although it's been used well. It also takes a while for the show to really get going. As you'll notice in some of the reviews, many viewers dropped out by the third episode, and I can't really fault them for it. Half the cast doesn't even get introduced until episode 4. It was enjoyable enough, but I was still on the fence through episode 5. But now it feels like the show has really hit its stride . . . and it was well worth the wait!
Not a show for everyone. If you enjoy the leisurely pace of slice-of-life anime (as I do) and relatably awkward personal interactions, this is a good one to try. If you prefer laugh-a-minute comedy, video game action sequences, or trope-y ecchi scenes with busty gals, take heart: there are plenty of those types of offerings under the "More Like This" banner below. Not many others like this one, though.
