Michael’s newest project, Marvel Studios’ Werewolf By Night, was announced this weekend at the D23 Expo. Michael directed and scored the special, which will premiere October 7 exclusively on Disney+.

Michael returns to Medal of Honor – in virtual reality!
Michael has returned to the Medal of Honor video game series! 13 years after Medal of Honor: Airborne, Michael has provided themes for the new virtual reality game Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond. Coming out on December 11, 2020, the game will take players right into the action in World War II on their VR headsets, bolstered by the emotional music. A soundtrack will be coming out on the same day from Lakeshore Records, and a single of his main theme has been released – check it out here!
Michael has a new Christmas single!
Michael has released a new single in time for the holidays. “Christmas Number One” is now available on all major streaming/download platforms.
The song, co-written with the songwriting team of Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson, is performed by UK-based band Itchy Teeth, and produced and arranged by John Robert Wood. Michael had collaborated with Ms. Samsel and Ms. Anderson to write a song for a Christmas Variety Show he hosted at the
Royal Albert Hall last December.

Michael’s debut solo album coming October 30th
Michael’s first solo album, Travelogue: Volume 1, will be released by Mondo Records on October 30th, 2020. Performed by “Michael Giacchino & His Nouvelle Modernica Orchestra”, the album features spoken-word interludes voiced by actress Janina Gavankar, and will be available digitally and on vinyl – pre-order it here!
Michael composed original themes for An American Pickle
Michael has composed original themes for the new Seth Rogen film An American Pickle, premiering today on HBO Max. The score, using Michael’s themes, was composed by Nami Melumad and a soundtrack album is coming out tomorrow from WaterTower Music.

“Monster Challenge” short film to premiere on YouTube this Friday
Michael’s short film, Monster Challenge, originally premiered at Fantastic Fest in 2018 and has never been available online. Since we’re all sheltered in place, why not spread the one thing we should – laughter!
The short, starring Patton Oswalt and Ben Schwartz, will premiere on YouTube this Friday, March 20th, at noon PST. Enjoy!
