Viral Hack Makes Crunchy Towels Instantly Feel Brand New Again

Soft as can be!

There are few things in life that bring an absolute chill down my spring. A chill from something that is so good it almost feels euphoric. Such as biting into a rich gooey molten lava cake, laying down in the sunshine on a warm summer day with the heat radiating off my cheeks, sitting next to a stream and watching pollinators fly from flower to flower in search of sweet nectar. But what takes the ultimate euphoric cake is grabbing a warm fluffy towel from the dryer and wrapping my entire body in it.

Warm towels matched with fluffy fibers bring about so much coziness, they are the saving grace after turning a hot shower off and standing cold and wet on the bathroom tiles, and greet us from the ice cold after a quick plunge.

In our book one of the most sentimental things that can happen is losing the soft fluffy aspect of a towel, when it turns cold, scratchy, stiff, and crunchy. Nearly leaving scratch marks on your face as you pat it dry.

One woman, an avid fluffy towel lover, shared with us her top tip for making old crispy towels shine again, turning them from crispy to fluffy with one little hack, check it out below!

Just when we thought our charred towels would never see the light of day, never wipe another cheek, or get packed in our lake day bag, it turns out they might just get another chance thanks to this woman's wonderful advice of using baking soda and vinegar to bring them back to life!

How To Make Clothes Soft Again

Following nearly the exact same steps you can heighten the softness of your overwashed clothes. Skip the baking soda and just use a touch of laundry soap with white vinegar to fully clean and soften your clothes, which bonus, we tested and it’s true, using vinegar also makes them appear brighter in color, especially your whites!

Clothes typically get crunchy due to an overuse of detergent soap, which bonds to the fibers of the textiles, and not fully washing out during the wash cycles, so the number one tip... go easy on detergent. A little really does go a long way!
