Marit Risto F I found it completely hilarious, and so original Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/01/24 Full Review Leaburn O Not sure how to rate this. It's wildly off beat and made for cult viewing but it didn't entertain me too much. It is good, in an original way and wish I could like it more but just not quite hitting the highs for me. Just watched it because incomprehensibly, Empire magazine rated it the 88th best foreign language film ever (?). Saw it on YouTube but not sure how long it will remain up there. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/29/24 Full Review P F jim jarmusch is in it giving it cult status.funny foreigners in a strange land [usa] band on the road.well worth a watch Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/27/22 Full Review ed l What a riot! Hilarious, and full of great music. Who needs dialogue? Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Aki Kaurismäki is undoubtly a very interesting man. His films are often gritty and funny with a sad undertone, and so are this one. "Leningrad Cowboys" are a band consisting of a few cat's with long shoes and longer hair. They are bad to the bone and driven by a manager that brings them to the stats to live out the dream as professional musicians. This is not an easy task and all the money they earn are mostly going into the manager's pocket as he drinks them up. A gentle and at times very funny film. It's slap sticky and easy, but it works out often. It's short in length, and that's important here. It kind of feel dragged even with it's short platytime. I guess it's a bit repitative and the same kind of jokes are delt. Otherwise it's a pretty good film. 6 out of 10 hairdoes. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member The Leningrad Cowboys are really cool! I like the songs. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
