Bloody horror with barbed wit, Come to Daddy anchors its brutal violence in a surprisingly mature approach to provocative themes.

Becca James Chicago Reader Brutal violence abounds in these coastal mysteries, but they're not all show. Dec 30, 2020 Full Review Amy Nicholson FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) Incredibly violent and very fun and very strange. Feb 15, 2020 Full Review Rex Reed Observer Any film that opens quoting William Shakespeare and Beyoncé is meant to be regarded with skepticism and giggles, but this dog gets sillier by the minute. Rated: 0/4 Feb 14, 2020 Full Review Dallas King Flick Feast The most terrifying thing called Come To Daddy to appear on screen since the Aphex Twin video! Julian P Weird, gorey, but entertaining. Kinda like if the Coen Bros made a mad slasher movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/20 Full Review John W An ever-changing blast! It can be rare in this day and age for a film to be completely surprising, but "Come to Daddy" is such a film! Even the guesses made from the trailer won't at all prepare you for what's in store! A fun, unexpectedly moving thriller with hilarious performances and cheeky bits of gore! Go in cold and you'll have so much fun! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/20 Full Review Ashley M Elijah Wood is exceptional in every way and really draws you in with his incredible performance. This movie has so many twists and turns that always have you wondering what's going to happen next. It's funny, raunchy, violent, and all around weird in the best ways. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/04/24 Full Review Stoner J It's actually pretty good and bloody. Suspenseful as well. Elijah Wood never convinced me in any role since the Good Son but the movie was good so he gets a pass. The very ending is a tad incomplete though. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/24 Full Review Edward R Interesting premise, solid cast, and high stakes. Yet somehow this fails to keep any interest in the characters and plot, even with over the top gore and juvenile humor. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/24 Full Review Jeffrey P The beginning and setup was too good and it all went downhill after a certain point.
