So far I have had a good experience and I believe that overall the school is good. However, there are areas where improvement could be made like safety, or more clubs, etc.
Weymouth High attempts to give students opportunities to get involved, but its attention to students' actual needs are lacking. Very little effort is given to supporting the students who cannot get the resources they need. Students are placed into a group of peers class wise, and are never moved up. While there are many good, helpful teachers, there are also many who are not qualified and lazy. However, my personal experience with sports and out of class activities is good. There are many attempts to unite the student body, and many chances for everyone to get involved with sports. Music and art is not given as much attention.
As a senior I enjoy my automotive technology class as well as my academics I also enjoy my sports and enjoy my friends as well as preparing for college in the fall and graduation in the spring as well as prom and all the other extra things that come with being a senior I just can't wait
I feel as though my experience at Weymouth High School was one to remember. I have formed genuine bonds with numerous of the faculty members at the school, which made the days at the school fly by. I believe that I have always had a shoulder to lean on in school. The students at Weymouth High School are extremely diverse, which enables beneficial exposure to different cultures. I believe that the school could improve by ensuring that students are taking electives that interest them, rather than picking and choosing only for the benefit of credits.
The main issue with the High School is administration. There is never a set administration with staff moving in and out within a year. This then causes incompetence in the administration, and it is evident that they often do not take action with problems within the school.
There are minimal resources for mental health resources here, many children are struggling and do not receive help.
I have enjoyed my 4 years experience at Weymouth high school. I have experienced some teachers that have put in more effort than others to ensure that I received the education I strived for. I feel that there could be more assistance with the college process and readiness.
I feel so welcoming the past 4 years. It feels like a dream that I am almost finished with high school while typing this. I have made many friends throughout the process and friends I didn't even think of making friends with. It has been so amazing with my exeperience. Not only did I increase my relationship with my teachers but I also increased my friendship levels with them on other activities.
The overall education left a lot to be desired. There was blatant and clear favoritism of the students among the teachers. There was a wide variety of classes offered. However, only a select few teachers took the time to make sure their students were learning the material and succeeding.
the scheduling system is flawed and music dept is underfunded and underrepresented throughout the school compared to sports
I had fun it was ok I just moved from a different country and it was somewhat welcoming a bit scary but I got friends that helped me to navigate that I wish there was more inclusion for new students and guidance and overall it’s good school there are a lot of requirements for graduating I wish would be changed though.
I feel like there a large variety of classes to offer there that can support a lot of different careers. I personally wish there was more science classes like marine biology. (I am a little biased)
Overall I had a good experience at Weymouth High School. I would say however that I can see a decline in the school the past 2 years. I'm not sure if this is related to post-covid learning, teachers working with no contract or changes in administration.
The courses offered are vast and really give students an opportunity to take classes that give them insight into different career options. The school also offers a CTE program that a lot of kids take advantage of but it allows them to stay in school with their peers and take part in the schools athletics and clubs.

The teachers were very supportive and they’re here for you. However, there’s a good batch of students who do not follow rules especially when it comes to smoking and vaping in bathrooms, starting fights with other peers and teachers. I think the school board should definitely address this by putting smoke detectors in the bathrooms and make physical fights have greater consequences.
Weymouth High School offers so many kids the opportunities they need to succeed. The school has a career technical education (CTE) program which allows students to apply to a shop of their choice to focus their education on that one field. Along with the CTE program, they offer all shop students to join SkillsUSA, which is an amazing organization that gives students opportunities and training for readiness in the workplace. Among that there are also a great amount of categories of study you can choose from outside of the CTE program. It is a great school and has amazing resources.
overall my experience as a student there has been relatively positive. I have had minimal problems with the staff and administration. The school itself is rather diverse and is inclusive to all students regardless of race, sexuality, gender, etc. students are actively encouraged to seek help if needed. After-school activities such as sports and clubs are greatly encouraged and have shown to be a rather good experience all around. However, problems have arisen in the past due to other students that were not acting accordingly.
Faculty and staff for the most part were beyond accommodating and caring in ensuring all students’ needs were met to make certain that all students worked and learned they best they could to their ability. School lunches were meh, other students made the experience not that great, and the bathroom situation certainly was horrible.
