We really enjoyed our tasting experience this morning. Sonia who lead it was informative and seemed to gauge just the right amount of info/facts to share about each MCC (we didn’t have much time). She had all the answers on hand when we wanted to know a little more. Zelda Fox joined us and added more great and unusual insights which I found refreshing in comparison to other similar experiences. Lovely biiiig indoor fireplace and two or three tables outside with a spectacular view over the valley. A really nice, intimate tasting space. Doesn’t feel overly commercial at all.

Awesome MCCs. Charles Fox is interesting and knowledgeable and his MCCs are so worth the visit. The view is outstanding.

When you have staff that surly it might be better to close over christmas, so that they do not need have to deal with tourists who had been getting good and friendly service all over the hemel en aarde valley.

If you love MCC's, this is the place. As would be expected, tasting and merchandise come at a price - I do think the tasting fee can be wavered (as with other estates) when purhaces are made.

We had an amazing experience at Charles Fox! We learned so much about the process of making MCC and tasted my new favourite! Definitely worth a visit.

We had a great tasting with our young kids. The kids played on the playground and colored while the adults enjoyed the view and tasting. The service was great! We will be back.

Sitting on the balcony tasting Charles Fox’s MCCs you could easily convince yourself (or your friends and followers on social media) that you’re in the heart of Tuscany. The views are spectacular, and the MCC (actual champagne but we can’t call it that in South Africa) even better. Highly recommend stopping into this tranquil spot for a tasting as you explore Elgin and the surrounds 🥂.

This place make bubbly, MCC, SA champagne. They have a number of different bubblies and a couple of them are very very good! We enjoyed an afternoon on their veranda being served by a lovely hostess. Great wines!

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and were immediately struck by the beautiful views of the Elgin valley, as well as the look & feel of the tasting area - very comfy with lovely leather couches & a baby grand piano! Mr Fox himself came out to assist and I chose one of the tasting options. Following our initial questions about the making of MCC, he offered to show us around, which included info on the various equipment he owns plus a look a the approx 1,200 bottles stacked up in the cool, dark cellar - such eye candy :-> It was all so interesting & informative with a few different tasting options - superior MCC for sure. Def. recommend a visit if you enjoy bubbles.

Popped over to Charles Fox while staying in Elgin.
What a lovely find! Sonia, the hostess was well informed and simply charming as she hosted our MCC wine tasting complete with cellar tour. 6 MCC tastings for only R90.
The site is as exquisite as one would hope with an outdoor terrace with a view of the rolling hills. The interior is tastefully decorated including a baby grand piano which one is encourage to play.
Sonia, made us feel extremely welcome and dropped her MCC knowledge on us which we found to be extremely informative. Highly recommended.
