- Edited one year agoThe only solo Roger Waters album I actually care about. Would have made an excellent 2LP follow up after "The Wall"- when coupled with Pink Floyds "Final Cut". The songs and their - very dynamic and excellent - mastering even sound like they were produced in the same studio and with the same sound scape in mind. When I am in the mood for the last really great Pink Floyd album (Final Cut) I always play "Hitchhiking" afterwards. Yet I am wondering what was going on with the cover designer during that time in 84. This softcore LP-coverart not only seems quite sexist, it's actually ugly and cringeworthy. In a list of the tmost awful album covers of all time, this would find its place in my personal top 5. Without looking at the cover, you have a set of really strong songs though. Along with the David Gilmour debut my most played "solo" PF-output.
- Does anybody know if this gatefold-version has a printed innersleeve? The gatefold cover has the songtext printed on itself.
Thanks
