BOBBY KAMWA | FORWARD SIGNS NEW BURTON ALBION CONTRACT UNTIL 2024

1 February 2023

FORWARD Bobby Kamwa has put pen-to-paper on a new contract with Burton Albion Football Club, running until the summer of 2024!

The former Leeds United man signed a short-term deal with the Brewers in October after impressing in training at St George's Park, having left Leeds following nine years with the Academy and U23s at Thorp Arch.

Kamwa has gone on to make 17 appearances for the Brewers and scoring three goals - including a memorable winner away at Forest Green Rovers shortly after Christmas.

The 22-year-old, who spent time on loan at Dunfermline last season, is pleased to have got his future sorted and is focused on helping the Brewers improve on the pitch.

"I'm really happy to have got everything sorted," said Kamwa.

"I've loved my time here since I came in in October, training is great, it's a really good squad and there's a great vibe so I'm so happy to be staying for even longer.

"Now I've just got to get my head down and focus on doing well for the team, and help us get up the table."

Manager Dino Maamria said: "We are delighted to tie Bobby to a longer-term contract.

"Since he has come in, he has showed a hunger and desire to learn and develop and it has shown in his recent performances.

"Now he must take this opportunity to keep workring to establish himself as a regular in the team."
