Vidya Balan says it was 'lust at first sight' with husband Siddharth Roy Kapur

Actor Vidya Balan has been promoting her soon-to-be-released feature Neeyat. During one such interaction, Vidya opened up about her relationship with husband and producer Siddharth Roy Kapur.

Vidya mentioned that it was 'lust at first sight' for both of them as they clapped eyes on each other.

Speaking on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast, the actor said she never wanted to be married in the first place.

“Actually, I’ve never wanted to be married, I have to be honest with you. I never saw myself as someone who could get married. I wanted to be with someone, but I never saw myself as getting married. But at a certain age, Parineeta happened when I was 26, and by 30 I’d seen a lot of success, and I wanted to share it with someone," the actor said.

Vidya added, "I dated a few people but it didn’t quite work out. But I was feeling lonely. At the end of the day, you want to share your triumphs and disasters with someone outside of the familyâ€æ I dated a few people, and it didn’t turn out well. It actually put me off, and I decided, you know what, forget it.”

But then she met producer Siddharth Kapur and her opinions on marriage changed.

"It was definitely Siddharth who made the first move...I was also playing to the gallery when I said things about him, I wanted to sensationalise thingsâ€æ” she signed off.

Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur got married in December 2012 after dating for some time.
