- My 2 copies were ordered thru SOV England, and arrived weeks after RSD and Canadian store release (2058-1). I've gotta say I'm baffled by all the negatives. I think the glow in dark is moronic, but apart from that this is one sweet release. Beautiful gatefold, nice prints and liners, even the RSD obi is cool. The albums were clean, no garbage, no pops, no hiss. Sound and presence an 'A'. Only quibble is stereo on all tracks-I'm a mono guy and there's no way I'm playing my mono presses.
- If your copy has “LH” in the dead wax that means Lee Hulko from Sterling Sound mastered it, which translates to magnificent dynamic sound. Add the fact that this hot rocks included more obscure songs, the versions I’ve found are generally cleaner than similarly aged copies of more popular sibling compilation, Hot Rocks. My L.H. More Hot Rocks is probably the best sounding Stones record I’ve heard, as good as my Decca Between the Buttons.
- Great music. My copy only sounds fair. I have this in SACD and it sounds better.
Update: I re-listened to my LH in dead wax edition. Maybe my copy has been played too much and is old and tired. I will get a new RSD 2022 copy when it comes out. Hopefully it will be better.
I love these original Stones songs. I am hoping they give this record the same treatment they gave their early records that they issued with their MONO box.
