- lrp27Dayton, OH193 contributionsBeautiful autumn walk found by accident. We found this by visiting a little cute and quiet good coffee shop. Notice the River was close by and then as we all near saw the footpath. Several benches for resting or taking in the view.Written October 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - modonnelWooster, OH35 contributionsLoved the story behind the family farm and how it grew. Get some of the goat cheese in the little store and some of their honey!Written September 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Christopher PJefferson City, MO264 contributionsIn my opinion, the whiskey/bourbon boom isn't making things better. Service at many distilleries has become a conveyor belt process and the products at many "craft" distilleries are either way too young and harsh to be bottled or they've been purchased from that big conglomerate in the midwest and sold under a "local" label. Deerhammer isn't that. This is very, very good whiskey in my opinion. The port barrel finished is particularly nice. These folks know what they're doing!
Along with the great product, we enjoyed excellent service and a fun and relaxed environment. If you like whiskey, gin, and/or vodka and you're anywhere close, Deerhammer shouldn't be missed!Written August 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Amazing vista from Shavano Peak in the south to as far as Mount Columbia and Harvard in the north, dominated by the mighty Mount Princeton, which rises dramatically from the valley floor.Written July 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jamie fSuwanee, GA10 contributionsgreat little town, perfect weather in the hot summer to escape to.
Surf Hotel is a wonderful option to stay and walk to downtown for restaurants and bars. Would recommend if you like to do outdoor things: hike, bike, raft, fish. If you do not like to do this, not much else to do.Written August 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not much square footage but the exhibits were really terrific, and the docent was incredibly knowledgable and friendly! Highly recommend spending some time here and getting to know the local history!Written August 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jeremy700Kansas City4 contributionsWe found a good spot at the end of a service road. Really pretty. Lots of four wheeler traffic though and not much in the way of wildlife. We also didn’t find much fishable water. I’d come back with an ORV if I ever came back again.Written October 2, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JSTrip_77Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina1,235 contributionsHuron Peak is only barely above 14,000 feet but it still counts! The hike is beautiful but you should do research beyond TripAdvisor before taking it on. The wildflowers were the most amazing I've seen anywhere - ever. And the hike through the tree line was like a fairy forest - so green. Above the tree line, the hike continues to be beautiful with some scrambling near the summit. The road to get here is in tough shape. So, even basic SUVs will have to park about 1.5-2.0 miles from the actual trailhead making the hike that much longer. Something to consider when planning.Written August 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JasonIowa City, IA122 contributionsWe are in Buena Vista overnight after rafting on the Ark river yesterday and staying at an Airbnb a few blocks from McPhelemy park. I had noticed the park on Google maps when planning this trip, and saw that it had a fishing pond that appeared to be fed by a river, but wow! Cottonwood creek is a tributary of the Ark river and it flows into the park so it's not just a 'fishing pond' per se but an opportunity for kids and adults alike to catch trout without much trouble at all. My family and I visited the park at dusk last night and caught (and released) quite a few fish. Otherwise the park is in a convenient central location and has the usual amenities: playground equipment, walking path, bridge over the stream, and benches/picnic tables. Great place for a family stop while in town.Written July 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JSTrip_77Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina1,235 contributionsNaturally, you should consult climbing-specific resources if you're going to hike the 14ers. But, if you chose to do Harvard, know that it's a long - long hike. But it's worth it. Currently the road to the trailhead is OK for most vehicles but beware that the road conditions very and vehicles with low clearance aren' able to make it all the way to the trailhead.Written August 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
