Your responsibilities include following up with patients to assess results and look for side effects. Before injection, you consult with them to evaluate their needs and make suggestions about how they can achieve fine lines, skin tightening, or other desired results.
How Can I Become a Botox Nurse?
The qualifications needed to become a Botox nurse include a nursing degree and license and experience or certification in cosmetic nursing. You may start on this career path by earning a nursing certificate or degree and passing a state licensing exam to become a licensed practical nurse (LPN) or a registered nurse (RN). Employers usually do not require specialized certification if you have nursing experience and skills, but you can take a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) to earn professional accreditation. However, you must work as a cosmetic nurse for two years before you are eligible to take this exam.
